Cynthia’s POV
“It’s been a while since we talked.” Lady Addison said as soon as I was close enough to her. Her eyes were as kind as always, but I couldn’t help but notice something behind them.
I chose not to question it just yet and instead put a smile on my face. “Yes, it has,” I replied. “There is so much I have to fill you in on, Lady Addison-”
Lady Addison cut me off before I could finish talking. “I can’t believe you still insist on being so formal with me after all this time of us being friends.”
A blush washed over my face. I had been friends with Lady Addison for a little over a year, but I still couldn’t find it within myself to drop formalities with her.
