I was excited about tonight. I ran around our half-empty house trying to prepare everything for the game night tonight.
Despite the fact that we didn't have half the things I needed I wanted it to perfect.
I invited Spencer to come along with her husband because I thought it might help them get along for the night. I told Adam to go get a board game to play. He of course protested and said how much he didn't want to do this and he rather is anywhere else but here tonight. But after some convincing and some fake hormonal crying he agreed.

"We brought the drinks," Kathy announced as she walked in with a case of 6 bottled Coors Lights. "Of course you did," I said hugging her as she placed the beer on the table.
