WHO IS TO BLAME

Part 2

"You wont beat me in swimming anymore. You are just a pest i can finish off any moment" said Sharon

"You cant do anything to me Sharon" replied Esther confidently.

"On your marks, get set..." and then a whistle blew to begin the competition. Esther recalled everything as if it was just yesterday. She dint realise when she began swimming and she was swimming very fast.

"Essie stop!" Shouted Ann when she saw how fast Esther was swimming but she wasnt listening to anyone. Esther was still recalling how fast she swam that day. She was almost the finish line when someone pulled her leg deep down the water. She wanted to scream but the person pulled her deeper and deeper then held her mouth. Esther was losing her breath but was sure that it was Sharon who was doing all this.

At that moment, she dint realise she was drowning. Ann and mercy tried to call her but she was at the deep end and was going deeper.

"Help us! Somebody help us" shouted Ann and Mercy. Rashid was fishing around the deep end and dint think twice on seeing Esther drown. He quickly jumped out of his fishing boat and swum towards Esther. He got hold of her before she drowned further. Esther was unconscious by the time Rashid brought her to the shore. Ann and mercy quickly rushed to where he was.

"Thank you. Thank you so much" said Ann. People were watching all around.

"Press her stomach to remove the water she swallowed" said Rashid and Mercy rushed to doing so as Ann rubbed her legs. Rashid rushed to the first aid team and told them of the incident then went back to his fishing boat and paddled away.The first aiders attended to Esther until she was fine.

"Essie we are sorry. We shouldnt have brought you to the beach. We thought you ...had..." said Ann

"Its okay Ann. Am fine now. Who saved my life?" Asked Esther.

"He was right here. I dont know where he went" said Ann

"His name is Rashid. He went back fishing at the deep end. He might come back very late" said a little girl of about 6 years old.
