My Kings

I try to open my eyes, but the first attempt fail. I work harder a second and third time and am finally able to open my eyes. I shut my eyes again as the sun causes my head to pound. I cover my eyes with my hands and attempt to open them again. I wait a few minutes before I remove my hands from my eyes. When I do, I realize that I am somewhere in the middle of a forest, but I can't remember anything, but my name. I stand up and start walking. My whole-body hurts. I wonder how long I was out before I woke up and what happened to me. I walk for hours and hours, until the sun starts to go down. I stop and look around; I can't keep walking, after the sun goes down, it won’t be safe. Where am I going to sleep that I will feel safe, because I sure don’t feel safe sleeping here, on the ground at night. I look up and decide to climb into the tree, it seems like a safer place to sleep than the ground. I’m surprised to find it’s easy to climb, I’m sitting on one of the high branches in less than 10 minutes. I close my eyes and within moments I’m asleep. The next morning, I wake up, well rested and still sitting in the same place. I continue on my journey, after I climb out of the tree. I’ve been walking now for about half the day, when I come up to a large gate. I see men, women and children running around behind the gate along with many buildings, maybe I can find some temporary shelter until I get my memory back, or at least get some food. I walk up to the gate and two large men suddenly appear; it causes me to jump back. They stand on the other side of the gate; these men are very large and very intimidating. They both wear only shorts, so I can see every single well-defined muscle. They look like they spend most of their time in the gym, pumping iron, isn’t that what jocks say. They have a don't mess with me glare and their arms are crossed over their chests, the stance screams “go away”. They are at least six feet and it makes my little 5'3" size feel very small. "What do you want rouge" one of them asks. I wonder what a rouge is? They say the word with so much venom. "Sirs I’m wondering if you can provide shelter for me or at least some help? I woke up yesterday in the middle of the forest with no memory of where I was or how I got there. I have been wondering through the woods trying to find help since then. Can you please help me?" I ask. They look at each other. "That’s not a decision for us to make, you will need to ask our Kings, however, they’re in a meeting currently," the other man says. They unlock the gate and each man takes a hold of one of my arms. These men don't just look strong, they are strong. I don't fight them as lead me wherever they’re taking me, but it won't do any good to fight anyway. One of them is much stronger than I am, let alone both. They take me to a door and we go through it. The door leads to another door that leads us down some stairs. I am starting to worry now, what have I gotten myself into. They stop at yet another door, which has a finger print door lock When they open the door, I panic and decide I need to start fighting now, they’re leading me into a dungeon. All my fighting does no good. They efficiently pull me down the stairs and into the closest cell. Once in there, they close the door and tell me they will let the Kings know I am here and that the Kings will be down when they were free. Then they leave. I look around at my surroundings, for a dungeon, it looks really nice. There’s a bed, with what looks like clean sheets, the bathroom has a toilet, a sink, and a shower; it even ha a privacy curtain. I’ve seen dungeons without even a toilet, or maybe a toilet, but never a shower, sink or curtains. It’s crazy. I jump when I hear a door open and wonder if the Kings are coming, but instead of men, it is a beautiful woman. I watch as she comes closer. She has the loveliest brown hair, that accentuates her hazel eyes. "Isaac and Matthew said that you were down here and mentioned that you lost your memory and probably haven't eaten in a long time, so they asked me to bring you some food while you wait for the Alphas," She says. I look at her in confusion. "I thought I was waiting to speak to the Kings, who are the Alphas, and why are there so many in charge?" I ask. I watch as she blushes. “I apologize, I forgot you lost your memory. Alphas are just another name for the Kings and the reason that there are three is because they are triplets, James, Jason, and Jonathan Masters. They are very good men and, as long as they don't feel like you are here to cause trouble, they will probably help you.” She hands me the food. It is some tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. “I don’t know how long it’s been since you have eaten, so I thought it would be best to start with something easy. If you’re still hungry and want more after this, I can bring you more. I figure that grilled cheese and tomato soup is a good comfort food though. I will leave you to eat. If you decide that you need more food, than just call Matthew and he will let me know. He is right outside, but he will hear you. My name is Mary by the way. Enjoy,” she says and she’s gone. I sit on the bed and eat. My stomach growls loudly once I start eating. I can’t believe how hungry I am and the food is wonderful. Once I’m done eating, I decide to rest while I can, because if the Kings decide to kick me out, I will be back to walking around searching for help. I don’t know how long I slept before I hear the door to the dungeon open. I decide to pretend to sleep so that I can see what they are like without them realizing I’m awake.
