I tried to shut my eyes in fear, but before I could do, Aidan held my chin and made me look at him.
My eyes were filled with tears, threatening to fall.
Looking at my frightened sight, he laughed loudly.
“Why are you so scared? Are you feeling insecure? Do you want someone to come and save you?”
He questioned me without batting his eyes. I felt emotional fluctuation in his voice when he asked these questions. I knew his mental state, but I didn’t want him to know that I knew too much about him, so I shivered under his mocking eyes.
“Why?.... Why are you doing this? Leave, leave me….”
The tears which were not willing to fall, at last fell.
My cheeks were wet with tears and the smile on Aidan’s face was becoming bright.
