Night has come, and I’m so tired of staring at the same pale-yellow walls for hours. Don’t get me wrong, the bedroom Chase put me in is beautiful, but I’m not used to being stuck in a singular room. I know I’m not confined to it, but it’s the only way to stay away from everyone. After my encounter with Chase this morning, I need to keep my distance from him, but a part of me doesn’t want to. The way he riles me up only confirms that I’m attracted to him, always have been. For that, I loathe him even more. As soon as Evangeline finds me, I’ll disappear and never have to see him again.
