Chapter Sixteen Jacqueline carefully leans over the hospital bed and kisses Sarah twice gently on the forehead. She moves slowly back away. Sarah has a tube coming from her nose connecting to a cylinder of oxygen fixed to the white wall behind her. Lines attached to a hanging drip bag, feed a clear fluid into her bruised forearm. She is peaceful, safe, asleep. The room is large bright and clean. Through the cream colored vertical blinds the deep blues of the crystal white sparkling edged massive lake appear. It stretches out beyond the horizon. White frosted mountains rise upwards into the far distance. Blankets of vivid green fir trees spread from their base, stretching down and around the frozen, glistening, magical shoreline. Many different shaped boats of all colors cross endlessly
