Our Rights

266 Words
Many days had gone by, still was a sign improvement to be felt; we were all nursing a storm in our hearts, grieving like we were shredded in dismay. Our fathers; as much as a platoon, they marched to the palace to question the austerity of our king. To no avail; their honors was stolen from them, their buttocks were heavenly fondled with strokes of cane by the guards of the palace and sent back to us in their state of misery. We the youths called for a meeting and every first son of his father's house was to be present. "There is a need a need to take actions into our own hands now or remain in a state of hush and watch our lives withere away". Said Omopekhai; as he has decided to lead the ally. "But if at all we must succeed , we need a plan, we lack tactfulness spoke one of the youth as he interrupted Omopekhai from concluding his statement. "We can also get weapons or aids from the neighbouring community" yelled Onobi , the Chief priest son. We all concluded our target was the palace house but first we must lay ambush on each guards before we encroach on the king and his house hold. We urged one another to be inconspicuous on our meetings and matters discussed; not even our families were to welcome any information to their hearing as we all set to return to our habitat. I hope the odds change in our favour, were the words my mind could interpret from the pulses made by my heart.
