Tales Of My Fatherland

It must have been a dreadful morning. It was so hot and dusty as if the Earth was ready to burn. I had thought the rain would fall after the culumolumbus had been turn apart by heavy rain drops during the early hours of the morning. The people of Ebeni littered the streets in hopelessness and starvation wishing it were possible for manna to fall from heaven. Some looking like wild beast sneering around for its next prey or the vultures in hunt for the next carcass to feed upon. The roads miss the screeching of tyres as the stomachs miss the warmth of a cooked meal. The local government chairman promised to take care of it's indigenes after persuading traders and farmers to give up the site of their farmlands and markets in order to establish a local airport in the community. It's been three months, our hands are tied and the government lied, "We must not allow the development we seek meet our death" they all said The four walls of their homes were just a furnished grave to bury them in ignorance. We all hope that someday the odds would change and be in our favor was all that was registered in every ones mind as their mind.
