Chapter 2: A New Opportunity
Yi's eyes widened as he listened to the voice on the other end of the phone. A prestigious hospital was offering him a job as a caretaker for a high-profile patient. The pay was significantly higher than his previous jobs, and Yi saw this as an opportunity to finally provide for his sister's medical needs.
"Can you tell me more about the patient?" everything i need to know" Yi asked, trying to contain his excitement.
"Of course," the voice replied. "The patient is Li Ming, a famous actor who was involved in a devastating car accident about a year ago. He's been in a coma ever since, and we're looking for someone to care for him as he begins to regain consciousness."
Yi's eyes widened as he processed the information. He had heard of Li Ming, of course. Who hadn't? The actor had been a household name before his accident, known for his charming smile and captivating performances on screen.
"What makes you think I'm qualified for this job?" Yi asked, trying to sound confident despite his doubts.
"We've reviewed your resume, and we're impressed with your experience as a caretaker," the voice replied. "We're looking for someone who is not only qualified but also discreet. As you can imagine, Li Ming's family is very private, and we need someone who can respect their boundaries."
Yi nodded, even though the person on the other end of the phone couldn't see him. He understood the importance of discretion, especially when it came to high-profile patients.
"When do I start?" Yi asked, trying to contain his excitement.
"We'd like you to start as soon as possible," the voice replied. "Can you come in for an interview tomorrow morning? by 9:00 am
yes i will, Yi nodded, his mind racing with the possibilities. He had never imagined that he would be working for a high-profile patient like Li Ming, but he was determined to make the most and best of this opportunity.
The next morning, Yi arrived at the hospital, his heart racing with excitement. He was greeted by a receptionist who led him to a conference room where he met with the hospital administrator.
"Thank you for coming in today, Mr. Yi," the administrator said, extending his hand.
Yi shook it, trying to make a good impression. "Thank you for having me," he replied.
The administrator smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "We're very impressed with your qualifications, Mr. Yi. We think you would be a great fit for this job."
Yi nodded, feeling a surge of excitement. "I'm very interested in the position," he said. "Can you tell me more about what the job entails?"
The administrator nodded. "As Li Ming's caretaker, you will be responsible for his daily care, including feeding, bathing, and administering medication. You will also be responsible for monitoring his condition and reporting any changes to the medical team."
Yi nodded, taking mental notes. "I see," he said. "And what about Li Ming's family? Will I be interacting with them on a regular basis?"
The administrator hesitated, his expression serious. "Li Ming's family is very private, Mr. Yi. They prefer to keep a low profile, especially when it comes to their son's health. However, you may encounter them from time to time, especially as Li Ming begins to regain consciousness."
Yi nodded, understanding the importance of discretion. "I can respect their boundaries," he said.
The administrator smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I think you'll do just fine, Mr. Yi. Welcome to the team."
Yi left the hospital feeling elated. He had never imagined that he would be working for a high-profile patient like Li Ming, but he was determined to make the most of this opportunity. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but he was ready for the challenge.
As he walked home, Yi couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. He had always dreamed of making a difference in someone's life, and now he the chance. He was determined to do everything in his power to help Li Ming recover, no matter what challenges lay ahead of them. That same day he visited his sister to share the good news with her.
