Chapter 101: The Forgotten Rescue
(Sophia Rivers' POV)
"I heard that my brother had already escaped before the pack enforcers found him," Isabella Blackwood continued, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "There was also a girl with my brother. It could be Elena."
My heart pounded against my ribs. This was information I'd never heard before.
"The family doesn't talk about it much," Isabella added, examining her manicured nails. "Marcus suffered a high fever and amnesia after the incident. Grandmother Margaret forbade any mention of it."
Amnesia. Marcus had forgotten the k********g entirely. A faint joy rose from my heart.
More importantly, he'd forgotten whoever saved him.
