Larrisa Rein knows that her life has never been easy. Betrayed by the one she loves, rejected by her own family, and left with a baby she must care for alone, Larrisa survives for the sake of her daughter, Cressa. But when a rare disease strikes her daughter, she faces an even tougher choice: give in to family pressure or accept the offer of marriage to Seth Rapael, the now disabled and isolated heir to a large group.

Seth, a man who has lost everything-health, love, and control of his family's company-never expected love. However, Larrisa's presence and her determination to uncover the secret behind the Xeon Group's collapse rekindles his spirit. Together, they begin the fight to save the company, avenge the betrayal, and protect Cressa from the threat that continues to stalk her.

However, shadows of Larrisa's past come back to haunt her when Frans Harrington, Cressa's biological father, appears with new powers and selfish plans. Frans threats the fragile happiness that has begun to grow between Larrisa and Seth, forcing Larrisa to choose between a past that imprisons her or a future that may be full of love and hope.

[Prologue]
The maroon-haired girl fell silent. Her eyes couldn't help but notice the flyer that her conversation partner had just taken out. It was nothing compared to another file with the logo of one of the hospitals where Larrisa Rein was interning. It was also the same place where she had her body condition checked two weeks ago. Larrisa was declared pregnant. And most likely-she couldn't have done it with just any man. There was only one man she would let touch her willingly in so many places. Her most beloved lover; Frans Harrington. “Do you know who I am, Miss?” the woman asked with her arms crossed. Her eyes looked straight but also contained a great deal of dislike. If it wasn't for her favorite son, she wouldn't have wanted to meet a woman who wasn't her level. "If I remember well enough, you are Naya Harrington. The mother of Frans, my lover. We met briefly when Frans invited me to your family event six months ago.” The woman, Naya Harrington, who still looked beautiful despite being 55 years old, could only snicker sarcastically. The young girl in front of her was confidently calling herself 'her son's lover'. God, what kind of ordeal was given to her just because of this girl? “It's good that you remember.” Naya tried to remain calm, keeping her expression level. She didn't let her emotions get the better of her even though she wanted to curse. Even though this restaurant was made as private as possible upon her arrival, she still had to keep her emotions in check. She didn't want to cause any trouble in the future because Naya didn't like the publicity surrounding her family's big name. “I was quite surprised by your call this morning.” Larrisa tried to remain calm even though her heart was troubled. “What... is there something you want to talk about?” “Isn't it obvious?” Naya swiped the check with the amount already written on it. It was enough to buy a car and a house in the minimalist style that was the trend these days. “Take it and go as far away as possible,” the middle-aged woman said arrogantly. Her eyes looked at the girl in front of her with a dismissive and humiliating gaze. She couldn't understand how her beloved son could fall in love with a low-class girl like her. “What do you mean, ma'am?” asked Larrisa, still trying to be polite. Even though her hands were clenched tightly and her eyes couldn't let go of the check in front of her. It wasn't so much the amount, but the way the check made Larrisa realize... there was a great distance between them. “Abort your pregnancy and leave my son. Live well. I'm sure this check is more than enough.” The woman stood up, not wanting to linger at the same table as the lowly girl. “If you ignore my wishes, I will not hesitate to ruin your life, Miss Larrisa.” Larrisa could no longer contain her emotions. She loved Frans and when he had told her of his condition, he had promised to do what was best for both of them. Larrisa hadn't forgotten how happy Frans was when she showed him the results of her pregnancy test. It was even Frans who pushed Larrisa to go for a check-up immediately. And Frans had said many things about their future. So... how could Frans' mother do something like this? Before it was too late, Larrisa stopped the woman in her tracks with words of conviction. “I'm not going to take this conversation lying down. Frans and I agreed to have this child raised. We love each other, Mrs. Naya. I'm sure we can get through this. And Mrs. Naya should know that Frans and I have already planned a beautiful future for the three of us." Larrisa said with great confidence. There was no fear or hesitation in her eyes as she faced the beautiful woman in front of her. What she said was the truth and a wholehearted belief that Frans and she could get through this difficult time. Larrisa had little faith that her boyfriend's mother would show some sympathy when they first met. But as it turned out, that was just camouflage. Naya Harrington had never liked her. “Planning a future together?” Naya asked with a half laugh. She resisted the urge to move and returned to her perfect seat. “I don't think I want to hear you tell me the fantasies you have in your brain, but I think you need to know one thing.” Once again, Naya leaned back in the chair. Crossing her legs and leaning back with a look that she did not want to get rid of her annoyance there yet. "What kind of future do you want to build? When my son hasn't graduated from college yet. You're just a student receiving a scholarship as one of the aid programs, and didn't you find out? Where did the money come from?” Larrisa clenched her hands even tighter. “From my family, Miss. The Harrington family.” Naya's faint smirk tugged at the corners of her lips. “What will happen if I remove your name from there? Don't you know the consequences? Think about your early years on campus. Your difficult struggle to get a scholarship. Not to mention, you're graduating in two years, right?” “I got the scholarship because I have the required capacity. I have good grades and deserve it.” Naya chuckled. “Gosh, how naive of you, Miss.” She straightened her back. With her hand resting on her chin, Naya spoke again. “But is that enough? What about your social status? Didn't you think about how Frans would fare with you? What would he receive? Not to mention, where do you come from? Obviously the Harrington family doesn't like a daughter-in-law of unclear heritage." “What is your purpose in meeting me? Is it just to humiliate me? To ask so rudely to abort this innocent baby?” Larrisa growled in displeasure. “I don't need to degrade you just to show the vastly different social class between us, Miss.” Naya laughed. “Besides, you seem to really believe that Frans loves you? Would leave anything just for you and the baby you're carrying? What a naive woman you are, Miss Larrisa.” She handed back the check that had been rejected. “This is your last chance. Don't regret it.” “I regret not doing this.” Larrisa did not care if she was considered insolent and ignorant. But the woman in front of her was far more insolent and ignorant. Was it because they were born into a rich family that they could be so condescending to others? As if to ask her to abort a pregnancy, the blessing of her love with Frans? The check was taken and immediately torn into several pieces. “Thank you for your concern, Mrs. Naya. But I choose to keep it. I love Frans and I'm sure he feels the same way. We will raise this baby together. It may be hard for you to accept, but I have faith that one day... you will be the one to ask us to unite.” Naya smiled slightly at Larrisa's bold action. “Very well. It's your choice. I hope you've prepared yourself well. Just in case, one misfortune after another starts falling at your feet.” The words affected Larrisa to some extent but she was not afraid. Her trust in Frans was so high that she was sure the woman's words were just a bluff. However, it looked like Larrisa would have to start thinking if Naya Harrington really meant what she said. The following day, almost all social media, both online and in print, carried shocking news. The heiress of the Harrington Group announced his engagement. Frans Harrington, Larrisa's boyfriend was engaged to Jessica Vladimir. The daughter of a tycoon who was also Larrisa's friend in college. More than that, Frans could not be contacted by Larrisa. At all. Not only that, at the campus where she studied, Larrisa had to lose her scholarship, including the research that was being worked on and almost completed. The campus could not be asked for a definite answer. Not to mention that Larrisa's internship place issued an ultimatum and gave her an off-duty letter due to Larrisa's pregnant condition. As if that wasn't enough, Larrisa's residence was confiscated by the bank because the owner had a lot of debt and made the place as collateral. Is it over? No, it wasn't. Larrisa felt that the universe was working together under Naya Harrington's orders. Leaving her unable to breathe, even just to breathe free air and think about what to do after everything happened? And Frans? He had disappeared without a word.
