Chapter 9

The door opened and I put a bullet in Andre’s head, Arnold was about open fire on me but Stan was faster, he put two bullets in his leg, Arnold groaned in pain then Stan finally put a bullet in his head. Unknown to us Arnold’s groan was heard by his other colleagues. Ted had gained access into every CCTV (Control Circuit Television) in the building, he was our eye in the sky he told us that two (2) armed men were coming our way so we hid Andre and Arnold’s body then we hid ourselves behind a part of another building. Both men came there and saw the blood trail of Andre and Arnold, as they looked around Sidney came from behind with his belt and put it over one of the men’s neck strangling him , the other man shot at Sidney but Sidney used the body of the man he was strangling as a human shield ,he quickly pulled out a knife and flung it into the neck of the other guy. But there was a problem, a shot had been fired and that meant trouble.

Elena and Ted were still watching us through the CCTV when Vince asked us the mercenary group we belonged to.Almost immediately there was a knock at the door.Elena left Ted to be our eyes and decided to face Sean who had started banging on the door. She opened the door and immediately punched him in the face , followed by a roundhouse kick to his side, she was about to give him another kick to his side but he caught her leg and flung to the wall. He proceeded to enter Vince’s room but Elena wasn’t going down without a fight, she jumped up and charged at Sean like angry bull, she gave him a spear throwing both of them into the room, Sean saw Vince tied up, he immediately got the message and was about to stand up but Elena’s punches set him off guard, she climbed ontop of him and delivered three (3) punches to his face, she brought out a pen knife from her bum shorts that she wore under her gown. She was about to stab him with the knife but Sean held her hand throwing the knife off her hand, followed by a headbutt which knocked her off guard. He stood up, picked the knife and took a battle stance.

We on the other hand were playing hide and seek with the other guys at the building. We couldn’t come out openly to fight them because we did not want to be identified as Tiger Axis personnel.So we let them play the cat and we the mouse.Stan was getting fed up with the cat and mouse game so he came out openly with his AR-15 rifle spraying bullets in the air, three of the men were hit by his sporadic shots, one in the chest, one in his abdomen, and one in his leg. We all looked at each other like we were thinking the same thing. The plan had gone to s**t the moment the first shot was fired. At that moment we made a conscious decision to annihilate everyone in the building and save Leo. Afterall if there were no witnesses the job would be cleaner. That was a decision that I was later going to regret.

Sean was about to stab Elena when Ted held his hand, Ted twisted his hand and hit him in the chest with his knee. Sean bent down groaning in pain. Unknown to Elena and Ted the knife that fell from Sean’s hand got to Vince who picked it and started using it to cut the rope, in less than two (2) minutes he had already cut the rope. He stood up and with the rope tried strangling Elena from behind, Elena who is always alert immediately stomped at his feet, this weakened his grip giving her the opportunity to hit him with her elbow on his chest, she broke out from his grip and they both started fighting.

We had already killed most of the men. Stan broke the door while John gave suppressive fires. Mary moved into the room confirming John’s kills by putting a bullet in the head of each man that lay on the floor. She got to Leo and loosed his cuffs. Sidney and I were waiting outside shooting anything and everything that moves. Soon Stan, John and Mary walked out of the building with Leo being held by Mary. We had kept about two grenade launchers in our car just in case things went south and things had already gone south. Stan and I shot series of grenades at the building. We drove as fast as we could and when were a little close to the club Sidney took a comfortable sniping position and put a bullet in Sean and Vince’s head each. We told Elena and Ted our location and they got there in no time. We drove off to go and celebrate a successful mission. We didn’t know what we would face in a few weeks time
