MIA POV

I was stunned I withdrew my hand immediately and stood up, I walked towards the door of the restaurant as he called out to me but I didn’t answer him. I got into my car and drove off, while in the car he called me, I didn’t pick the first time, he called again and I still didn’t pick, I picked when he called for the third time I told him to give me time,, he shouldn’t call, or text me, that I’d call him with my answer and with that I hung up. I was still driving then I called Tracy, she picked up after two rings, I then told her all that happened and how confused I was. She asked me if I found him attractive and I told her that I kind of found him attractive but not to the extent of dating him, but I also felt bad turning him down, the short silence that followed from Tracy made me feel the deathly stare Tracy would have given me if we were speaking face to face. Don’t enter a relationship because of pity if not you're going to regret it. She told me to focus on my case first, after winning it I can think of entering as many relationships as I want. I agreed with her and hung up.

Tracy's pep talk didn't have much effect on me because I was still troubled, I stopped my car because I was in no condition to drive. I got to a local fruit vendor to inquire the price of her apples but then I noticed a man dressed in a black hoodie was stealing glances at me. He looked suspicious so I dipped my hand into my bag to clutch onto my pepper spray can. I always have it with me wherever I'm going, I bought the apples, got into my car and drove off. As I drove off the man got onto a bike and rode after me, it was at that point I knew I was being hunted.
