Syn glanced over his shoulder at her, “I am here to help you and our son.”
Angelica rolled her eyes but at the moment she’d take all of the help she could get… even if it was delusional.
Zachary had been in the thick of things, never knowing the danger Angelica had been in. He’d fought his way toward the rift, setting anything that touched him on fire. His power was escalating to levels he’d only pushed himself to a few times and nearly paid a hefty price for it.
Reaching the rift, Zachary kneeled and slammed his hands down on the ground, setting the edge of the rift on fire in an attempt to stop at least the weaker demons from coming through.
Those that did catch fire, released their hold on the edges and fell back into the underworl
