As they continued driving Jake thought back over his date with Paula last night. They had been going out for a couple of years. She was fun and energetic. She was tall and athletic and they had spent a lot of time outdoors together. Jake was feeling that maybe it was time to talk about marriage. He and Trevor were moving to Whitefish to renovate Glacier House and she was planning to visit on the weekends. He thought after the renovations were done; he would pop the question.
Last night after dinner he started talking about her coming to Whitefish. She stopped him and told him she wasn’t coming.
“Do you want to wait until the next weekend then?”
“No Jake, I won’t be coming at all. I have been seeing someone else from work and decided I don’t want to see you anymore.”
