The sun was shining brightly, it was 25 degrees outside, but it seemed warmer. They were meeting in the entryway. Jake, Trish, Trevor, and Petra. The open house was scheduled to begin in 90 minutes. The door opened and Zack and Jessica walked in.
“I didn’t expect you guys. I figured you’d want to stay with Jen and little Stephen.
“Steve and Mary are with Jen and will bring them over later. In the meantime, Mom and I decided we wanted to be here to show off all the hard work that has been done and to thank the community.”
The door opened again and Gordon and Ingrid walked in carrying baskets of goodies. Ingrid’s daughter and several teenagers followed them, also laden with trays and baskets.
