On Monday morning one of the officers that had transported Dillon to jail called and asked Jake if he could stop by. Jake and Trish met him at the door and escorted him into Jake’s office.
“I just wanted to let you know what is happening,” the officer started. “When we checked, there was an outstanding warrant back in Cincinnati. Our prosecuting attorney and theirs are talking and deciding who will prosecute first. Obviously, the k********g charge from last week is probably the biggest, so I am thinking we will probably be first in line. Because he used a g*n, he may even be prosecuted on a federal level. Regardless, our county prosecutor wanted me to assure you he will not be getting out on bail and you are safe.”
