CHAPTER FIVE

Alpha Octavious pov:

All the alphas and betas greeted me when I passed by. Then until I saw her. She's sitting at the left side of the room with her friend. Her green eyes complimented the gold mask with diamond studs around it. I saw my sister Alexis with her bestfriend Joanna walking to their table. They began to introduce themselves.

'Go to her' my wolf jannus commanded me.

'No, she seems having a good time with my sister. Let's leave them alone' I replied while staring into her smiles and twinkling of her eyes. 'Why Ehnzo? Are you scared?' he said.

Being the alpha of the most stronger pack is quite uncomfortable. I've killed many lives before. That's part being an alpha. I have to protect my pack.

What will she thinks of me? A heartless monster that don't f*****g hesitate to kill? A worthless and useless son because my parents was killed by the vampires when I was 16 year's old and all that I do is to watch them sucking my parents neck until they're out of blood? All I have now is my sister  and my pack. So yes, I'm scared.

I'm scared of being rejected. I don't want that. I want my mate. No...

I needed her.

'You know that I can read your thoughts right?' my wolf interrupted me. 'Yes. And you know that I can f*****g shut you out right?' I replied angrily but before he could reply, I blocked him off.

'Alpha we've got a problem' my beta mindlinked me. 'What is it?' I replied turning around so I can back to our table. 'The beta of this pack informed me that there are 15 rouges planning to attack the Thanksgiving Ball. He said, he need a backup before they can crashed in here.'

'Tell that we're in, I can't lose my mate. I have to protect my sister and my future luna' I said walking to my destination.

'Alex protect her, she's my mate. The one in maroon dress. Make sure she's safe until this night ends.' I mindlinked my sister.

'What?! Oh my Moon Goddess! Congratulations to you my dearest brother! Don't worry I got you, I'll make sure that she's safe. And brother?' she asked.

'Si? (yes?)' I said. 'She is going to be a great luna' she replied with the happiness of her tone. 'I know. Goodbye for now. Stay safe Alexis' I said when I finally reached my beta.

It's already past eleven when we finished killing the rouges.

Suddenly my heart beats fast. Why am I feeling like this?

'Our mate is in danger, we have to find her' my wolf said growling at me.

'ALEXIS?! WHERE THE f**k IS MY MATE?! YOU PROMISED ME THAT YOU'LL TAKE OF HER!' I mindlinked my precious sister.

'I don't know! She said that she's going to the restroom'

'And you let her? Alone?!' I snapped at her.

'She said that she's going to be fine!' 'Octavious!!! Help us!' she's screaming in fear. 'Rouges!' I began to panic. 'Mate, mate, mate.' my wolf is whimpering.

Then that's my cue to leave, I ran back to the event room. Blood hits my nose. Many wolves scattered around the floor. Their body was soaked in their own blood. It's a trap. They planned this all along. They managed to distract us.

I followed her scent, until I spotted the restroom at the end of the hallway. But someone was waiting outside of the door.

Vampire...

And he's just not a f*****g leech. He is the king of vampires.

King Seth McKenzie my immortal enemy. The one that command his leeches to kill my parents. I growled at the sight of him.

But the door suddenly opened by my lovely mate. She's shaking. She's scared. There's a tear that rolling down to her rosy cheeks proving that she needs someone who will protect her.

She ran to the event's room and gasped at the sight of her. She took a step forward but someone hit her head from behind. That f*****g leech! I was about to attack when her eyes landed to me.

I froze.

She control her body from passing out. My heart beats quickened and our mate bond pulling us together. I can't f*****g move from her gaze. I just stared at her. I noticed that she checked me out. Then she slowly blink, my eyes watered from the sight of my mate.

But before she close her eyes, she mouthed me 'Mate'. I was going to respond but her eyes rolled back.

Seth McKenzie pick her up and carried her limp body into bridal style. I growled. No one is allowed to touch my mate except me! I shift to my wolf form. I was ready to attack him when my body was thrown at the other side of the room.

Rouge.

I composed myself and bite it's neck and ripped him into shreds. My body is shaking from being furious.

I began to search for my mate. But her scent was vanished. That f*****g leech took my mate! I have to find her.

'Beta Matthew she's gone, we had to find her. Meet me in the pack house, and set the meeting in ten minutes' I mindlink my beta and run to the pack house.

This time no more waiting my queen...
