"Someone broke in. I'm sorry."
Delilah sighed. "Did they take anything?"
"I don't know. Those boxes we unloaded; they were torn apart."
"Andi wasn't there, was she?"
"No. After I discovered the break in, I headed to Andi's to check on her."
"I'm guessing Andi didn't set the alarm?"
Delilah didn't have the strength to be mad. This was her fault. "Did they go in?"
"Yes. The only thing that was touched were the boxes in your spare room downstairs. They were opened and tossed around. They were looking for something." There was a pause. "Any idea what?"
"No. I'll get back to you, Joan. Lock it up. Set the alarm. Board up the window for now. Thank you."
