Moonlight

A long time ago in a small village down south, an old couple was struggling to make ends meet and they also didn’t have a child. One day the old man went into the forest to cut wood and as he was cutting the wood he spotted something behind the bushes, when he went to see what was there he noticed it was a young girl. Seeing her, he noticed she was injured. The old man took her home to his wife and they took care of her until she could get better and strong enough. The couple asked her where she came from, she didn’t remember. They asked her for her name, she couldn’t remember her name. The old couple decided to take her in as their own. They named her “Moonlight”. From the day Moonlight entered their lives, things were going amazingly for the family. The old man and his wife was so happy to have found a daughter and a good luck charm. Moonlight grew up to be a very beautiful and intelligent girl. Many suitors came for her hand in marriage but Moonlight refused them all. Her father said she should not rush into making a decision but Moon was determined to not get married on her own terms. She said, “I’ll get married when I know the time is right, father”. Her mother smiled and said, “let her be, honey”. The father agreed and said Moonlight should follow her heart. And so she did…
