Marion and Mavourneen Sanders signed the papers, which made them the owners of 14 Butler Street in the Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn, NY. Johnny Sanders signed his own papers and put a down payment of $10,000, or fifty percent, on his own home next door. The Sanders left their apartment of twenty-two years in Hell"s Kitchen and had their furniture moved to their three-story home. They decided they would take their time and be selective in renting the grade and 2nd floor apartments.
