The drive up the hill was breathtaking. The cool breeze brushed against Rose’s face. She asked Jack, "Jack, can you open the sunroof?"
Jack smiled and opened it. Rose stood up on the car seat, letting the wind play with her hair. Soft, romantic music played in the background, and Jack kept glancing at her through the mirror, smiling at how happy she looked.
When they reached the hilltop, the view was stunning. Standing on the edge, looking down at the sparkling lake, Rose whispered, "Jack, this is so beautiful."
Jack grabbed his camera and started clicking photos of Rose—her hair flying, her smile, and the way she looked at the horizon.
As evening approached, they set up their camps. Jack lit a campfire, and the warmth of the flames glowed on their faces as they cooked.
"Rose, try this, it's ready," Jack said, handing her a plate.
"It’s delicious," Rose replied.
"Do you like this view?" Jack asked.
Rose’s eyes sparkled. "It’s like a dream. I wish I could stay here forever. I want a little house here, where I can watch this view every day from my window."
Jack smiled softly. "Who knows, Rose... maybe one day it will be possible."
Rose looked deep into his eyes. The setting sun painted the sky in shades of gold and pink. Jack grabbed his camera, "Rose, wait, stay just like that for a second." He captured her looking at the sunset, then took a shot of the sunset itself.
Rose giggled and took the camera from him. "Enough! You’ve been taking my photos for so long. Now it’s my turn to take yours."
She set the camera and clicked a picture, capturing the way Jack was looking at her—with pure love and peace.
After taking many photos of Jack, Rose set the camera on a stone with a timer. She ran back and sat next to him, interlocking her fingers with his. As the camera clicked, they were looking deeply into each other’s eyes. It was a perfect, intimate shot.
Night fell, and it was time to sleep. "Let's sleep now," Jack said. "You go to your camp, and I'll go to mine."
"Okay, Jack," Rose replied.
Inside her camp, Rose couldn't sleep. She kept tossing and turning. Jack was wide awake in his camp too, thinking about her.
Outside the sounds of an owl and the jungle made Rose nervous. She stood up, walked to Jack’s camp, and peeked in. Jack was awake but closed his eyes as soon as he felt her presence.
"Oho, Jack... you're asleep? I can't sleep at all," Rose whispered.
Jack opened his eyes immediately. "I’m not getting much sleep either."
"Can I... sleep with you? Just with some distance?" Rose asked nervously.
Jack looked into her eyes and said, "Yes, come in."
Rose joined him inside. They laid side-by-side, looking up at the camp ceiling, feeling the silence of the night.
"It's so quiet here," Jack said softly.
"Yes, too quiet," Rose replied.
Jack turned to her. "What are your plans after university?"
"I'll go home," Rose said. "I'll look for a job. I haven't thought much about it. What about you?"
Jack’s tone turned sad. "I don't have a family, Rose. I’ll live anywhere and just work. I usually stay with Harry; he’s been my friend since childhood."
"I see..." Rose whispered, her heart feeling heavy for him.
Let’s sleep now, Rose," Jack said in his soft, deep voice.
"Okay," Rose replied quietly.
They turned and faced each other. The tent was small, so they were very close. Jack’s breath touched Rose’s forehead, and Rose’s gentle scent filled the air.
They looked deep into each other's eyes. Without saying a word, Jack slowly moved his hand to brush Rose’s hair behind her ear. His touch was very soft. Rose closed her eyes, enjoying the moment.
Then, they shared a long, deep kiss. Jack held Rose close to his chest. Rose could feel Jack’s heart beating fast, and she knew it was beating just for her. In the quiet of the night, nothing else mattered to them. They stayed in each other's arms, lost in their own world.
The next morning, the sunlight peeked into the tent. Rose was still sleeping in Jack's arms, with her head on his chest and her hand holding his shirt tightly.
Jack woke up first. He looked at Rose’s peaceful face and smiled. He gently kissed her forehead.
A few moments later, Rose started to wake up. Jack quickly closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep. Rose opened her eyes and saw Jack sleeping. She thought he was still dreaming, so she leaned forward and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek.
Suddenly, Jack opened his eyes and looked at her with a big smile. Rose was so surprised and shy that her cheeks turned red. She tried to move away, but Jack pulled her closer.
"If I hadn't been awake, I would have missed this sweet gift," Jack teased.
Rose laughed and hid her face in his chest, feeling very happy and shy.
That night was the night Rose truly felt she had Jack. She finally realized that he loved her just as much. They had spent the whole night lost in each other.
When they woke up, everything felt different. As they drove back, there was a sweet, shy silence between them. They were both lost in the memories of what had happened.
Rose looked out the window, remembering every detail—how she had slowly undone Jack’s shirt, feeling his warm skin under her touch, and how he had responded with so much love. She remembered him taking off her shirt and the way his hands felt on her. The memory of him leaning over her, both of them breathless and lost in the moment, made her heart race all over again.
Jack kept glancing at Rose while driving. He was thinking of the same things—how soft she felt in his arms and how they had become one that night. They were shy but happy, knowing that their bond had now grown much deeper than just friendship. They were no longer just two people; they were two hearts that now belonged to each other.
To break the silence, Jack asked, "Rose, what kind of music do you like?"
"I like many songs," Rose replied with a shy smile.
Jack smiled and said, "Then let me play my favorite music for you today."
"Yes, please do," Rose said eagerly.
Jack played a deep, soulful, and romantic track. The melody added magic to the atmosphere inside the car. Rose felt so relaxed listening to it. As the music played, Jack glanced at Rose, and she was already looking at him. Their eyes met, and they couldn't look away.
They kept driving through the beautiful valleys. The scenic mountains outside, the cool breeze, and the romantic music made the trip feel like a dream. They were both at peace, lost in the beauty of the moment and each other's presence. The journey was no longer just a drive; it had become a beautiful chapter in their love story.
