I was finally able to take her home and was just happy that I had her here with me, safe and sound. We'd both fought her parents to get her here, but in the end they'd been very understanding, which made it easier on all of us.
My parents fussed for a while when we got there of course. Mom had had Marisa cook some of Sian's favorites, which she barely picked at and that only because I made her.
I guess the greasy burger on an empty stomach might not have been such a great idea, but it's what she'd wanted.
I'm thinking after what she's been through, she can have anything she wants, at least for the next little while.
