I like this one

I'm always up by 6am on weekdays. We have our training around 6:45 and it ends at 8 for breakfast. I get up, do my morning routine, and hit the road. My best friends and future beta, gamma, and commander all join me outside the packhouse doors. Just like usual, Logan, my future beta, Stephen, my future gamma, and Elias, my future commander, are all waiting for me. "Morning, guys." "Come on slow poke before we're late. Then we'd have to run an extra 2 miles because of you." Of course, it was Stephen to say that. He's always been that way. He pretends he hates to train, but in truth, he has a natural prowness to him that can't be taught. I rolled my eyes at him, though I was lagging today. I couldn't sleep thinking about the new sister I was to meet. "Couldn't sleep? You worried?" Logan asked. He was always so perceptive of all of our change of emotions and mood. I shake my head, yes. "I love Sierra and all, but I can't have another of those. She's just like mom. Extra dramatic. Extra loud. Rude and selfish at times. She used to be very sweet, but now... I don't know. Dad told me I used to beg for a sister, and when she was born, I never left her side. Now, I don't even like being in the same room as her. What if this sister turns out to be the same?" I questioned aloud. My friends know I'm only really close to my dad. My mom and sister are another story. Mom isn't much of a nurturer. I know she loves me, but at times, she can be suffocating. Sierra is bratty and always needs to have her way, something she definitely picked up from mom. "I don't think the Moon Goddess would be that cruel to you. One Sierra is plenty." Elias said, as we began I journey to the training grounds. "Besides, your father dated and loved your sister's mom naturally. There wasn't any mates' bond to connect them. She had to be amazing for the top alpha, under the king, to fall in love with. Logan said. He always thought of things from a different perspective. That was one of my favorite aspects about him. I nodded in agreement. "Yeah... I guess you're right about that. Well, let's just get this day over with... why couldn't dad give me a brother?" We all laughed at the thought and continued our walk to the training grounds. Our commander and trainer, Bruce, who is Elias's dad, was already there waiting on us. "Well, come on now. We don't have all day. Yall was almost late. Two more minutes, and it would've been the yellow brick road for yous." We all smiled victoriously. He then focused on me. "Are you excited to meet your new sister?" Commander Bruce asked of me. I was shocked that he asked that. What was more shocking is that he had a smile on his face. "Elias. Is your dad sick or something?" Stephen asked, and Elias shrugged his shoulders. "Food poison?" Elias responded. I looked at Commander Bruce, confused. "Why do you seem so happy about her? Have you met her yet?" "Eh. Kind of. She was sleeping when I was around. She's cuter than a river filled with otters, I can tell you that." Were otters cute? "Luke and Kyle were gushing over her this morning, though, so maybe that should tell you something." Bruce smiled, and we all stood shocked. Was my new sister really that special? Maybe she's faking it? I don't know, but I gotta keep an eye out now. "Alright, ladies. Let's get to work." And work we did. It was a little after 8 when we wrapped up our training. We were gonna go to breakfast and then shower, but Bruce told me to make a good first impression on my sister. I shouldn't look like an almost drowned pup our first meeting. He told us all to go shower than go to breakfast. We wasn't gonna argue with him. He does our training. We split and then came back together close to 9, all heading to breakfast. We even met our dads on the way. "Good morning, boys." Good morning, alpha." All my friends said. I smiled. "Hey, dad. You just now heading for breakfast?" "Yeps. Meetings don't care if you have an empty stomach." He laughed and groaned. I laughed at him. When we all got closer, we heard a girl speaking. She sounded young but had a lower, softer tone. When we finally entered the dining hall, we saw my mom standing with my sister by her side, looking at some little girl I've never seen before. She was really pretty. She had dark skin, with the greenest eyes. She wore a shirt that had some of my favorite characters on it, which made me smile. But her coolest feature was her hair. She had curly, silver hair with light streaks of black and white throughout it. pulled into a high bun on the top of her head, with glasses. This little girl was standing toe to toe with my mom?!! My MOM!!! It was insane the way she didn't back down and said whatever she wanted. She did apologize to dad for being a little too snippy, but she put Sierra in her place. She had a meaning glare that even had me stopping in my tracks and taking a step back. The moment she mentioned being Sierra's sister, it clicked that she, too, was mine. "No freaking way!! That's your sister." Stephen said in astonishment. We were all mind blown. She was a tiny girl, both in height and weight. I guess that's the human side of her? She stood confidently in front of both my parents and spoke her mind. She spoke in a way that wasn't directly rude, but you knew exactly how she felt. I can't believe this is my older sister. We all sat back and listened. My father stepped in before things got too crazy, then allowed her to introduce herself. She went from this tough chick to an innocent girl in seconds. She seemed so genuine that it made me smile. My dad explained how she came about, and I felt kinda guilty. My parents meeting each other caused her to lose out on being able to have both parents around. Maybe if my dad was mated to her mom, he could have saved her. Then, months after her birth, here comes me. Now she's amongst people, and a place she doesn't know, and has to trust that were good people. She stood as people asked their questions, and one stood out. Her silver hair. I didn't even pay attention to what her having that color would mean. Is my new sister really powerful... wait. She doesn't even have a wolf... double wait! She's the oldest, so doesn't that make her the new alpha??? Ok... stop thinking. My head hurt. I push all those thoughts to the back of my mind and focus on the situation at hand. Dad dismissed everyone, then waved me over. I suddenly felt super excited to meet her. I couldn't even hide the smile that broke through on my face. Luckily, even though she just had a run-in with mom and Sierra, she didn't seem to hold that against me. She smiled back at me brightly. It made my heart leap. She said her hello's and stook her hand out for a shake. I ignored that and grabbed her into a big hug. She stiffened in my arms, but I didn't care. I pulled back and expressed the only thing I could. "You. Are. Awesome!" I made my introductions, then stole her away. She's tougher than she looks. My wolf, Shadow, said to me. I know, right? She stood against mom and didn't even flinch. She can be scarier than dad at times. I walked her over towards my friends. They all turned and began heading towards the door. Once we were outside, they all flipped around to look at us. "That was freaking awesome." "I can't believe you just did that?!!" "You're hilarious." They all said at the same time towards my sister. She looked startled. "Uhh... thanks... I guess." She smiled shyly, and all of them quieted down immediately and stared. "I like this one." Elias mindlinked me. Logan and Stephen choruses yeses behind him. It made me happy that my friends immediately took to her. The same way I did. I've always wanted a little sister, but an older sister, who I so happened to be bigger than, is cool too.
