Chapter 1
Princess Caroline lived in a big castle.
She was tall.
Strong.
But feminine.
Loud.
And she was excited, for today was her birthday.
She called her maid to put on her dress.
The royal tailor was drained after making her dress, for it was too long.
The shoemaker felt accomplished looking at the princess’ pink ball shoes.
It was wider and bigger than any man’s shoes he’d made.
And the maid had overcome her fear of heights as she now calmly stood up the ladder, hastening the princess’ zipper.
Princess Caroline waltzed the ball room with confidence and a silly smile on her face. Lights followed her where she went. People watched her in awe.
The men can only hope they’d had the chance to dance with her. Though they knew ‘twas a tall struggle.
Besides, she wanted to grace her months of lessons of what her tutor had called contemporary ballet.
Which by the way, excluded pointe shoes due to her choice of footwear. And involved a lot of arms flapping.
By the end of the day, the princess was happy, and the workers were tipped bigger than men had given.
