Phuwin slammed the door behind him as he entered his room, his breaths uneven. His hands trembled from the sheer rage coursing through his veins. He felt trapped—like a bird whose wings had been clipped without consent.
An arranged engagement? To Pond of all people?
He had heard rumors about the man—cold, ruthless, possessive. The type of Alpha who claimed what he wanted and never let go.
"Unbelievable," he muttered, yanking at his tie and tossing it across the room.
A knock on the door made him stiffen. Before he could tell whoever it was to leave, the door opened.
Pond.
The Alpha strode in with the confidence of someone who already owned the place.
"You could at least knock and wait for permission," Phuwin snapped, glaring at him.
Pond simply smirked. "You’ll be my fiancé soon. Why should I need permission?"
Phuwin crossed his arms. "I never agreed to this arrangement."
Pond stepped closer, his towering presence making the space feel smaller. "You don't have to agree," he said smoothly. "Your father already sealed the deal."
Phuwin clenched his jaw. "I’m not a business transaction."
Pond tilted his head, studying him. "No, you’re not. You’re my Omega."
Phuwin’s breath hitched. The way Pond said mine sent an involuntary shiver down his spine.
"Listen," Pond continued, his voice lower. "I don’t care if you hate me now. But you will learn to accept this. I always get what I want, Phuwin. And I want you."
Phuwin took a step back. "You think you can force me into loving you?"
Pond chuckled. "Love? Who said anything about love?" His dark eyes glinted with amusement. "This is about power. Protection. You will be my Omega, whether you like it or not."
Phuwin’s heart pounded as he met Pond’s gaze, defiant.
"If you think I’ll submit to you so easily, you’re mistaken."
Pond leaned in, close enough that Phuwin could feel the warmth of his breath. "Then let’s see how long you can resist me."
And with that, he turned and walked out, leaving Phuwin gripping the edge of his desk, his world spinning out of control.
Because deep down, a terrifying realization settled in his chest.
Pond wasn’t just obsessed with him.
Pond was going to break him—piece by piece—until he belonged to him completely.
