Chapter 106

1240 Words

BRAYDON'S POV Katy’s lying in my arms, completely still, her chest rising and falling in a slow, even rhythm. I should get up and call Mr. Park to set up a meeting with my dad, but instead I’ve been stuck here, just watching her, for almost an hour. I know I’ve said it more times than I can count, but I’m stupidly lucky to have her. I never thought I’d find someone like Katy, someone who loves me like this. She goes out of her way to make sure I’m okay, and she never acts like it’s a chore. If anything, she treats it like it’s natural like it matters to her just as much. “You’re breathing hot air on my face.” It takes a second for her voice to register. She shifts slightly, her nose scrunching, one eye opening while the other stays shut. There’s a pause, like she might fall back asleep
