She held his face tightly despite the burning shadows surrounding him. “You are not a monster.” Han laughed bitterly. “You still believe that after seeing this?” “Yes.” The word came without hesitation. The Devil froze. Lin Yue’s tears fell onto his face. “You spent centuries believing you were cursed because you loved me,” she whispered shakily. “But Han… loving someone is not a sin.” The darkness around him trembled violently. “And if heaven calls it a sin,” she continued, “then maybe heaven is wrong.” Han stared at her silently.
