Untitled Episode
Amaka was the daughter of Chief Benson, the richest man in Uyo. In high school, she fell in love with Emem, a quiet boy from a poor home who sold pure water after school.
Their love was pure. He would help her with maths, she would share her lunch.
After graduation, Emem disappeared. No call, no letter. Amaka waited at their usual mango tree spot for weeks.
She thought he left because he was ashamed of her money. Or because he found another girl. She cried and hated him, and finally agreed to marry a rich man her father chose.
Five years later, she returned to Uyo for Christmas. At the market, she saw Emem — now wearing a small contractor's uniform, standing beside a modest house he just built.
"Why did you leave me?" she asked, tears in her eyes.
He looked down. "Your father told me I would ruin your future if I loved you while poor. So I left to become a man worthy of you. I was working to come back for you."
Amaka realized he never left out of shame. He left out of love.
After all the incidents the both came together to understand the true definition of love and working hard to get to it
