THE CRAZY OLD WOMAN The crazy old woman knew thousands of tricks. She was slight, constantly wide-eyed and very manipulative indeed. In her home, at the far end of the clearing, she committed the most varied crimes with extreme care. The most exemplary had undoubtedly been the murder of her mother, who she had then cooked in a delicious soufflé. She was in fact so unscrupulous, so wicked, that one day – bothered by her parent’s illness – she had not only taken her life, but everything else she could from her: specifically her money and her flesh.
