DEPARTURE The day came that I showed them all how much I really cared of their business. Now I felt free indeed, but also without a clear direction. It all happened at once. Still perturbed and uncertain, I realised I had lost sight of my goals under the weight of my – stunningly – alienating work. I wasn’t yet defeated, but rather going round in circles. I didn’t talk much as well, but I thought. Sepani must have noticed my struggle because he tried to distract me, but one thing I knew: sooner or later I would have to part from him. I felt it in my bones, there was nothing rational about this. So, one day, I brought my departure forward and took my leave, with the promise to eventually meet again. For the moment he would return to his world, but I knew he would always rush to my aid.
