1154 Words
After the internal problems in his clan were resolved, Thomas thought of Hannah who he had left alone in their house. “I was so focused on those bastards that I forgot about Hannah.” Thomas immediately looked at his watch and realized that it was already midnight. “Gosh! I have to go home,” Thomas muttered as he quickly got out of his mafia clan headquarters and ran towards his car which was parked outside. However, from afar Thomas hears that Hector, his assistant is calling for him. "Sir! Wait," Hector called from a distance to Thomas who was about to enter his car. "What else?" Thomas impatiently asked his trusted assistant. “What should we do with tomorrow's meeting? Given the troubles that befell us this time, it seems we really should come to the meeting with those higher-ups.” Hector reminded Thomas of an important meeting with the top brass they were supposed to attend tomorrow. Thomas sighed again, thinking why the problems kept multiplying like this. "Then remind me tomorrow. We have to gag their mouths!” Without saying anything else, Thomas got into his car and drove fast to get back to his house. . . . When Thomas entered the house, he saw the light inside was still on and thought that Hannah was still awake. However, when he looked towards the living room, he saw that the television was still on. Thomas came closer to see Hannah who was there. And it turned out that Hannah was lying there, asleep with the television on. “Looks like she fell asleep while waiting for me to come home," Thomas muttered, feeling a little guilty for leaving the girl alone in their new home. Thomas walked towards Hannah with slow steps, afraid to disturb Hannah and wake the girl from her sleep. For a long time Thomas stared at the peaceful face of Hannah, who was fast asleep. The man smiled crookedly when he saw how fast Hannah had fallen asleep. Then, Thomas decided to move Hannah to sleep in the room. Afraid to wake Hannah, Thomas carried her carefully and made sure she was comfortable in his arms. Thomas immediately walked to their room and put Hannah on the bed. Not to forget, Thomas pulled the blanket to protect Hannah from the cold night wind. Thomas also chose to get out of the room and walked to the kitchen, suddenly he was thirsty. When Thomas arrived in the kitchen, he was surprised to see something on the dining table. He opened the cover covering the object and realized that it was food. Thomas fell silent as he looked at the food on the table, his guilt for leaving Hannah alone at home. “Should I not come to the meeting tomorrow?” Thomas muttered, wanting to make amends to Hannah and wanting to be with the girl tomorrow. . . . As usual, Hannah woke up in the morning because it was a habit, but because she realized that she was still on vacation, the girl wanted to sleep again, moreover she felt very comfortable with her sleep. Then, accidentally, Hannah felt that someone's arm was wrapped around her waist. She wanted to be sure too and to Hannah's surprise when she looked up she saw the figure of Thomas sleeping next to her and hugging her. And what surprised him even more, Hannah also subconsciously hugged the man. Shocked by what she saw, Hannah pushed Thomas hard and pushed the man away and their arms fell apart. Feeling Hannah's strong urge, Thomas, who was still sleepy, forced his eyes open and looked at Hannah with his half closed eyes. "What are you doing? Can't you calm down, it's still early!” Thomas said still annoyed with Hannah because the girl had disturbed his deep sleep. “Y-you… why are you hugging me? N-no, why can I sleep here?!” Suddenly, Hannah realized that she was sleeping in the only room in the house. He just realized how he could sleep here. Quickly, Hannah checked her body and immediately pulled the blanket to cover her body. "You! What did you do to me!” Hannah pointed her index finger at Thomas. “You and your crazy mind again, it's up to you how you want to think. I'm wanna sleep!" Thomas closed his eyes again and continued his delayed sleep. Hannah was annoyed that Thomas had ignored her and went back to sleep, she wanted to scold Thomas but went back to remembering how angry Thomas was yesterday. Hannah also refused to scold Thomas and prefer to end her sleep and go out. "How could I sleep hugging that guy," Hannah mumbled with horror as she reimagined that last night she had slept hugging Thomas. "Fortunately I'm still alive." Hannah walked to the kitchen to distract herself with food. However, Hannah remembered that there were no ingredients in this house that she could cook. Even though her stomach was rumbling asking to be filled. Since it was morning, Hannah thought of taking a walk outside the house to find something she and Thomas could eat for breakfast. Before that, Hannah decided to clean herself first. . . . After walking around her house, Hannah decided to stop by one of the mini markets around her house complex. And she also chose some ingredients that she could cook later for breakfast with Thomas later. While Hannah was busy choosing ingredients for cooking, she heard someone calling her from behind, and how shocked Hannah was when she found out that the person calling her was Alex, a co-worker in the police force. "Hannah! I didn't expect to meet you here," said Alex, greeting him warmly. Hannah chuckled awkwardly as she looked around to make sure that Thomas wasn't following her here, only after confirming that did Hannah focus on chatting with Alex. “Me too, do you live around here?” Hannah asked pleasantly while looking for information on whether Alex lived close to her house. Alex waved his hand slowly and replied, "No, I was just passing by and accompanied my sister here," Alex replied explaining why he could be there. "I thought you lived around here," Hannah answered briefly, she was relieved to know that Alex didn't live in this area, it would be bad if Alex became her neighbor. “Then why are you here? Isn't your home location far from this place?" asked Alex quite confused when he met Hannah in a place far from the girl's house. Hannah also became nervous when Alex asked her that, there was no way she could answer that she had moved here with her husband. Hannah would never tell anyone that she was married to Thomas. Hannah's work life will be even more complicated, if her friends find out that she has married a mafia boss like Thomas.
