The voice repeated in my head. Before I knew it I was standing in front of Eric. He keeps starring down at me with those gorgeous blue eyes. His scent so strong. How I've never noticed it until now.
"Mate." he states sternly. I can't tell if he's happy or not about this. I know who I am but he doesn't clearly. Just a omega.
From behind us you can hear a squeal when I look back Chelsea is jumping for joy "This is amazing! We get to hang all the time now! I'll go take your stuff home. Dom come on you can help me." She pulling Doms arm they hope into his charger and take off.
I turn back to Eric. "so, did you want to go somewhere?" I'm getting nervous. He's just starring other then one word I haven't heard anything from him since.
"Yes. Let's go" He gently takes my hand and walks me to the passenger side of his jeep opening then door for me. I hope in before I can grab my seat belt he's leaning over buckling me up. Shuts the door then casually walks around to his door.
He doesn't say anything he just starts his jeep and drives away from the mall. About 5 minutes into our drive I ask "Where are we going?"
"Cafe for coffee. How does that sound?" he's gripping the starring wheel more then normal. can see the tension in them, I turn my head look out the window.
"Coffee is great actually." I'm watching all the colors of the buildings and forest blaze past me.
Eric finds a spot at the Cafe to park. He hops out, I proceeded to do the same and follow. I've never been hear before. It's a quiet little Cafe with a few tables outside to soak in the sun rays and about 6 tables inside.
We were greeted by a waiter right upon entering. "Alpha table for 2?" he greeted with smile.
"Yes please." Eric smiles back. We follow the waiter through the dinning room to a patio that's hidden in the back. It's secluded from the other tables. but still have same quiet Cafe feeling.
"Here you go Alpha. Best seat in the Cafe veiw of the garden." he gestures to the garden to our side veiw as we take are seats. "What can I get you both today."
"Thankyou. Couple cups of coffee. Black for me and..." Eric looks over towards me.
"oh..um 2 sugar 2 cream please." I say with a smile.
"Coming right up" the waiter states then walks away.
I look off towards the garden. It truly was beautiful. Array of different colors sparkle from the sun rays shining down on them. in the far right corner you can faintly see a pound made up with a waterfall wall behind it. Vines wrapping around the edges. It's definitely beautiful. Perfect for a private venue.
"Here you go Alpha, Miss" the waiter places our coffees in front of us. "If you need anything wise just ring this bell." he leaves a tiny little bell on the edge of the table.
"Thankyou." Eric states then waves him off.
I take a few sips of my coffee. Am I supposed to start this conversation? How does this even work? I haven't really cared to know about mates but I know basics. Scent, markings, possession.
"so..." I Start to say but I can't seem to form anything.
"soooo?" Eric's repeats to me.
"So what are we supposed to do now?" I ask looking down at the coffee swirling it in my cup.
He gives me a quizzical look, "what do you mean? We're mates. We can do whatever we want."
"Oh, Okay." I'm still looking down at my coffee. his scent is so strong its making my head foggy.
"okay." he repeats. Why is he only repeating in simple form context?
We continue to drink our coffees in silence. When we're finished he rings the little bell for the waiter to come back. " Check please" Eric asks. The waiter just nods and walks off again to come back in a few moments with it.
"You can pay at the till Alpha whenever your ready." He bows and walks away.
"So what do you want to do now?" he asks. His face isn't showing much of anything. I have this feeling he's questioning this. Maybe I'll just cut this short for him.
"I still have to go to work. I can't be long I'm sorry."
He has a flash of surprise cross his eyes then restores that emotionless set within a second.
"You don't have to go to work." Eric says with a hint a of authority behind it.
"I can't just skip. My Aunt needs help in the kitchen." I replied.
"Your Aunt will do just fine without you tonight." he repeats.
I'm starting to get frustrated. I'm not dropping everything just because. "No. I am working. So if this is the it I'll just walk home thankyou for the coffee." I get up to leave.
Once I'm outside the Cafe I start to really wonder where to go. I'm not one for adventuring specially on my own.
"You not serious about walking are you?" I hear Eric call from behind.
"I am. I need to get to work. What way do I go?" looking around I can't even get a feel for where I am.
"It's that way" Eric smile and pointed towards a dirt road. "Were about 15 minutes from town. 30 40 Minutes if you walk." You can hear the sarcasm but it's just adding to my anger. I Start walking away.
I hear a loud huff of anger behind be then a door to a vehicle. I'm just a few feet up the dirt path before he pulls up beside me.
"You know it's warmer in here." he taunts. I Still keep moving forward ignoring him. He didn't seem this sarcastic or rude the last couple days.
I thought mates were supposed to complete each other. I'm just feeling lost.
"Your a stubborn girl you know that? You know other girls wouldn't be so quick to blow me off." Eric adds.
"Yep. Well I'm not like other girls. Just Leave." For such simple words those hurt. One thing to state my traits but Why would he even mention other girls? That stung a bit.
Eric gave me a glare and sped off. Good what mate threatens with someone else. I know we've just met but still isn't fair.
I hug my arms closer to my chest. Starting to get cold out since the sin was at high noon. This walk is going to take a bit.
I pulled out my phone to text my Aunt my where abouts so she knows why I'm late. Damn. Of course, no signal out here.
Well I'll just have to tell her when I get there.
The cold air wraps around me I know I'll be getting sick. One day I thought I didn't have to where a sweater. Happy flipping birthday to me.
*Snap*
I stop walking and look towards the tree line at the edge of the road. What was that? I try to focused on the darkness but I can't see anything. I shrug it off. probably just a animal walking by.
I continue to walk down the dort road. I decide to stay in the middle. It's not a busy street at all. I can wonder down the middle without a care.
A few more minutes go's by for I hear a couple more snaps of a twig. This time I don't look back I just keep pushing forwarded.
I'm starting to feel my nerves pick up. Pick up my walking pace. Why didn't I just demand going to work until after Eric brought me back.
*Snap Snap*
That's it. I start running as fast as my legs can take me down the road.
Before I know it I feel someone grab my shoulder and pull me back into their chest in a choke hold.
"Well well well. This is the easier catch I've gotten." deep gruff voice filled my ears. I'm clawing at his arm but nothing is happening. I start to kick I'm too weak.
He tightens his hold around my neck. I'm starting to see stars. "Stop fighting." anger seeping through his voice. Loosing more of my vision. I can feel everything start to fade away. "That's a good little wolf." he taunts
I hear the sound of tires skid on the dirt road, before the darkness finally took me.
