Chapter 28 – Turning Points
Jerry became aware of faint sounds. They slowly increased in volume and clarity.
He opened his eyes and immediately squinted, almost completely shutting them again. The overhead lights were too bright.
The noise around him crystallized into voices. Women's voices, not men's. That in itself made him curious. Where was he? And where was Wolf Platoon?
He blinked rapidly, trying to get his eyes to adjust. They gradually did, and he was finally able to look around. He carefully raised his head and evaluated his circumstances.
