Chapter 7

The next day at work I was going through my normal schedule of typing news report. For about two weeks I kept going to work and work was normal infact work was less now,I had figured Charlotte couldn't go on with her threat and I felt safe.

One day after my lunch break I heard that Miss Tina sent for me. I checked myself if I had done anything wrong but found myself guilty of no offense so I just walked casually to her office hoping she called me to pass an information to me. My issue with Charlotte was the last thing on my mind.

I got to the door of her office and knocked lightly, she told me to come in which I did, she then ordered me to sit down. She looked at me for about thirty (30) seconds and informed me that I was being transferred to the editing department. I was so shocked as editing was not my thing I didn't even apply to be an editor,I applied to cast news or work in their radio station or any show they host.

"I'm sorry but I can't survive in the editing department I didn't even sign up for the department I am presently in...... She didn't let me complete my statement, she instead cut in.

Young Man!! if you cannot cope being an editor in this company then I'll advise you leave you can submit your resignation letter tomorrow if you want. I'm not here for negotiation are you in or out. She said in a bold and authoritative voice.

I had no choice than to accept to be transferred to the editing department. I was to start working there from tomorrow,I was sad for the rest of the day

Charlotte POV

After my encounter with Cole both on the road and in my company,all I could think of was revenge and how to get it on him. I spent days thinking of ways to hurt him and make my company and life as a whole unbearable for him but found none. Finally I decided to start my revenge on him by making my company a living hell for him but I couldn't just be wicked to him just like that so I told Tina to watch him and find a fault in his work,his behavior and anything about him but he was so flawless he carried out his duties to the latter and obeyed all the rules and regulations so I decided to make him falter and the only way to do that was by transferring him to another department where he knew nothing about the rules and that is exactly what I did.

I was sitting down in my room this afternoon and typing away at my computer, there was this case I had been working on for over a year now. I was trying to expose a big drug and human trafficking organization I knew it was a big risk that is why I decided to do my investigations by myself without anyone knowing about it. I had some sources within the organization and I communicated with them on a daily basis.

I know that if I crack this case and break this news to the public my company Starlight News Agency will be making millions everyday and I would be famous at least till the heat of the news subsides.

I was using my computer to investigate one of their top men,a public figure. My phone rang while I was looking through another news site on the little rumours being said secretly of him sponsoring terrorism. I looked at who was calling and I smiled knowing that Tina must have done what I had told her to do I trusted her because of her efficiency.

I picked the call and she told me she had already transferred him to the editing department and I replied happily I also promised her a tip for her good work and I hung up

I was so excited at that news I left my computer and jumped on my bed like a child. I couldn't wait for him to make a mistake so that I could impose strict laws on him I just had to wait for at least a week before my plans can start taking place. With that thought I brought my company to my bed and continued working.
