Guns and Romance

Chapter 12

I first complimented Sonia on how beautiful she was looking and she blushed openly. We talked on different topics but I noticed that she always tried to find out on my missions while I was in the military. She constantly asked "what my first mission was, my body count (number of people I have killed). She even wanted to know my registration number and so many other personal information on my military life,but I remembered my oath to the country to keep all operations a secret. So I either brought up a different topic or just avoided the question abruptly. I wondered why she asked all those questions but I thought she was just being inquisitive and then I brushed it off my mind

She offered we go to the hotel we had gone to last time. Dermy Hotels and Plazas. I told her that was way out of my league but she was having none of it , she persuaded me till I agreed to go. The moment I agreed she said "Good at least this Tux you put on won't be for a waste, the last time we were there you were underdressed but this time you'll be perfectly dressed. I can't believe you wanted to wear this to that small time bar. We'll look like a couple." Those were her words as I ordered the driver to take a different turn, one that will lead us to Dermy Hotels and Plazas.

Our car rolled it's wheels into the premises of Dermy Hotels and Plazas, it was indeed a beautiful place to behold. Since I had been here before and because of how nicely I was dressed I decided not to stare around with an open mouth moreso I didn't want to embarrass Sonia

We walked through the crowd of tables, people and waiters there with Sonia exchanging pleasantries with most of them. I didn't need anyone to tell me that she must be a regular customer of Dermy Hotels and Plazas. She conversed freely with the waiters and other customers there, for the first time in my life I was intrigued by the business world and the life of the rich. All eyes were on me as Sonia and I walked into the VIP lounge once again only this one was indoors. There was a nice slow music playing and I noticed the population of people in that lounge were owners of big firms and companies and I guessed they must be having business meetings.

Sonia turned sharply turned to me and said "So where can we sit". I pointed at a vacant table at one end of the massive room and we both walked to the table. I pulled out a chair for Sonia and then sat on mine,we ordered what we wanted and after having our meal I asked her why everyone looked at the both of us the moment we walked in. I got to understand that Sonia has been someone who has never had time for a relationship and has become famous for turning down guys who tried to propose to her not minding who or how wealthy you are.

So it definitely came as a shock to people to see her with me twice. She completed the explanation by saying "Don't be surprised if you see yourself on tomorrow's newspaper". She then kept quiet for a while and said "would you like to dance". I replied yes and she looked at the dance floor where everyone was and she asked "Can you dance, it would be embarrassing for both of us if you are to falter on the dance floor in front of everyone". I replied "the real question is can you dance I got training in literally everything while I was in the military for secret operations and I danced a lot of times". Haven said that I took her hand, kissed it and took her to the dance floor where we started dancing.
