Chapter 1, Introduction
ANNA'S POV
My name is Anna Benjamin from the crystal pack in California. Our pack is located at the outskirts of Los Angeles near the Angeles national forest. I am the daughter of Chris Benjamin, Alpha of the crystal pack. Tomorrow is my 18th birthday and well I'm excited as well as nervous because I'll be meeting my wolf tomorrow and don't have to be alone anymore.
You might be wondering why I'm lonely, well soon you'll find out.
I stood over the kitchen sink watching the water run over the dirty dishes lost in thoughts when I felt a very sharp pain over my back. It was a whip and from none other person than my big sister Tricia. Ever since we were little Tricia has been a torn in my flesh, my elder brother. Miguel was quite different and loving and has never maltreated me and for that he was seen as the odd one in the family.
“aww, did I whip you too hard, stupid? If I get back and these dishes are still like this, you'll be sorry," she whispered the last part into my ears and walked away her heels clicking loudly.
The sting of the whip on my skin was nothing compared to the venom in my half-sister's eyes. She relished every moment of my suffering, finding joy in exerting power and control over me. As I gathered the unwashed plates, my hands trembled with a mix of fear and resentment.I knew this wasn't just about the plates; it was a reminder of my place in her eyes—a maid to be used and discarded at her whim. The weight of her expectations and demands crushed me, suffocating any semblance of self-worth and I retreated to the solitude of my thoughts, nursing the wounds on my body and soul.
It was in the evening that the news of the coming of Alpha Fenrir of the blood moon pack came to my notice because I was to make sure that my father's office was neat and without fault.
Alpha Fenrir and their pack was Known for their ferocity and thirst for power, the Blood Moon Pack was feared and respected in equal measure. So it is a must that I make sure everything was in order for their arrival. The reason for their coming was not known to me but I knew it must be very important.
