Chapter 4, Confused

Fenrir's Pov

I had come to the crystal pack to speak with Alpha Benjamin concerning the recent rogue attack, though on a normal I won't come to him but a witch whom we've been in good terms with has given me a message stating that I'd find my mate, the one who would make me stronger and completes me here in this pack .

I had thought it would be a woman of class, but when I saw Tricia all I felt was disgust for her. My wolf Kiran had already showed his disapproval even though physically speaking Tricia looked charming , more like a Luna material but wth my wolf's disapproval she became all at once disgusting to me .

I had noticed all the winks she's been giving me and I am certain that if the two of us had been left alone for a minute she'd probably pounce on me .

The meeting was a boring one until my heart started beating faster , Kiran was now visibly excited . He had sensed our mate and I was now more than eager to know the woman behind the doors, not until the maid came and I was left in total shock .

Why on earth should the goddess pair me with a woman looking like this ? She was a tall girl,good but I could literally count her cheek and shoulder bones, she was malnourished but those eyes were beautiful. Beautiful almond green eyes that looks like the Alpha's but I tried so hard to withstand the bond of connection, she is my mate .

Tricia's pov

I made sure I sat opposite Alpha Fenrir to enable me seduce him the much I can but this man is proving stubborn. Well an Alpha of his caliber should put up some attitude but I'm certain I'll get him besides I'm a very pretty and hot daughter of an Alpha so it's going to go well in the end. The meeting was boring, normally I wasn't supposed to be down there with them but my father and I had planned this together .

Just then this b***h walked in and ruined everything, I know very well that with the way both of them stared at each other it meant trouble me ,so I had to act fast. I quickly excused myself and went to the kitchen but she wasn't there,so she must be in her room.

On reaching to her room I barged into the room, after all this is my father's house I thought .

Anna's pov

I ran into my room to calm my self down and to process what just happened .

“Ava what just happened down there, I asked my wolf ."

“ He's our mate , Anna", she replied,

“ mate ? "

“ I thought I wasn't even supposed to feel this until after my first shift , i asked again."

“ True Anna , but you see , you are stronger than you think, wait until you shift then you'll understand what I mean , Ava replied excitedly.

I was still lost in thoughts when Tricia barged into my room and I quickly stood up .

Tricia's jealousy simmered beneath the surface as she spoke to me, her words carefully chosen yet tinged with a hint of resentment.

" Anna , I need to talk to you about Alpha Fenrir , " Tricia began, her voice tight with emotion. I glanced at her, sensing the tension in Tricia's demeanor.

" What about him ? " I asked , curious yet wary of Tricia's sudden seriousness."

“ He's not what you think , Anna," She warned, her eyes flickering with a mix of emotions. " I know you're drawn to him because you're mates , I knew it the moment you stepped into the office , but you two can never ever be . You should stay away from him."

I didn't know where I got the courage from but I found myself standing over her and looking her in the eye and told her firmly that I'll do no such thing . Just then a slap landed on my face what I did next shocked me to my marrow, I pulled her hair so hard that she screamed for help and within seconds my room was filled with people. My father yanked me away from Tricia and ordered the guards to put me in the dungeon , it wasn't actually the first time though and they led me away.

Not long after , Tricia paid me a visit as I expected . As she entered the dungeon area, her eyes gleamed with satisfaction at seeing me behind bars .

" Well, well, look who we have here , " Tricia taunted, her voice dripping with condescension.

My jaw tightened as i looked up, meeting Tricia's gaze with a mixture of anger and resignation .

" What do you want , Tricia ? " i replied , my tone laced with barely contained frustration.

" Oh , nothing much , " Tricia replied with a smirk, relishing in my discomfort . " I just thought I'd pay a visit and remind you that you'll remain in here until I am married to Alpha Fenrir. The thoughts alone made my wolf mad but I decided to keep calm rather than slamming her face to the iron bars.

“ You'll do no such thing ,Tricia, I yelled at her

“ just watch me,she replied and cat walked out of the dungeon " .

I was filled with rage and resentment but there was absolutely nothing i could do behind bars .
