Chapter 5, Doing the right thing

Fenrir Pov

I was still wondering how the goddess had paired me with a maid when Tricia stood up and left the room and shortly after we heard a scream and the Alpha with the other pack members ran out and I stepped out of the office to wait for them. Shortly after they all returned as if nothing happened, but curiosity won't let me be as I asked what happened,

“ My daughter Tricia , went to have a word with Anna and she laid her filthy hands on my daughter , he spat with so much venom .

“ If I should ask , what has been done to her ", I asked him ,

“ well , I have put her in her place " he replied with a tinge of satisfaction all over his face. Immediately , I changed the topic ,

" The rogues have grown bolder , " I began, my voice low and commanding . " They've been spotted near the northern border, and our patrols have intercepted some of their scouts." Alpha Benjamin nodded solemnly .

" We can't afford to ignore this . Have you gathered any intelligence on their numbers or intentions ? "

My jaw tensed slightly as I replied, " Our scouts reported a sizable group , possibly looking for territory expansion . They seem organized , which is concerning."

Benjamin's brows furrowed in thought. " We'll need to bolster our defenses and coordinate with neighboring packs. This could escalate quickly if we're not careful ."

" I agree, " I replied , my gaze intense . " We should also consider a preemptive strike to send a message that we won't tolerate incursions into our territory.

Benjamin nodded in agreement. "I'll reach out to the other alphas. We need to act swiftly and decisively before the situation escalates further . "

“ With that settled , Alpha Benjamin , I started , I'd like to have a word with you privately ", he looked into my eyes as if trying to find clues of what I want to discuss privately and then he gave them signal to exit from the office.

“ so what is the private thing you'd like to discuss with me, Alpha Fenrir " he asked immediately the door was shut .

“ Well, it's about that girl, what's that her name again ? I trailed,

“Anna',

“yes Anna" I concurred with him.

“ what about her ? he asked and I could feel a deep sense of hate in between his words,

“ well, I want to have her, alpha " I replied with no single emotion, but alpha Benjamin gave me a hysterical laugh ,

“ what do you need her for ? " he asked again ,

“ In as much as she's not worthy , but she's my mate and I'll need her to strengthen my self to be stronger than I am and then when I am ready to marry , I'll find a woman fit for the Luna title " I answered him still with zero emotions .

“ still on the Luna title, my daughter Tricia will make a fine Luna , she possess all the attributes of a true Luna " he shameless chipped in ,

“ well time will decide , if she will be the one , alpha Benjamin , but for now , release the maid to me " I requested again , this time I was fuming with rage .

I suspected he had mind linked the guards as they quickly brought her in .

Anna stood there helpless , for a moment I felt pity for her , something I never had for anyone else for a very long time .

Kiran was already so excited and I wondered what he actually saw in her because her physique alone was nothing to write home about .

“ Alpha Fenrir, will be taking you with him to the blood moon pack , so get your filthy things ready in five minutes so you wont keep Him waiting " he said ,

“ But why papa ? " Anna asked him .

“ Papa ? " i asked my wolf , but he was as confused as I was .

Just then he struck her on her cheek and her frail body fell to the ground ,

“ don't you ever call me papa again , I regret you , you are my biggest mistake and today I disown you , Alpha Fenrir , you can do to her as you please , he spat with so much rage.

I held myself from tearing the man that has subjected my mate to such torture, I hate to admit it but I had a soft spot for this girl and learning today that she is an alpha's daughter makes what I need her for much better. I lent her a hand but it took her a while to accept it and when she did,the force of attraction was so great that I almost let go immediately .

She took my hand and gently stood up and standing in front of her father , she severed the pack bond and stormed out to get her things .

Within a minute she was down with a sack I assumed contained her stuffs and together we went to my car .

I walked back to Alpha Benjamin who stood with his daughter at the balcony and shook his hands , then I went back to my car. I ignited the engine and waited for a minute before I sped off .
