Chapter 6, A new life

Anna's pov

I sat in silence as Alpha Fenrir drove away, I kept replaying all that happened at my former pack in my head , a part of me was proud I had for once fought back and just maybe it was my wolf that gave me the strength I've lacked all these years . I was also afraid for the future that is uncertain, I have heard about this alpha and how he kills people without mercy and now my life is now in his hands and I can't help but tremble within . I looked out of the window watching the sunset, then an idea came up,

“ why don't you start a conversation with him ? " this was Ava

“ hmm hmm , clearing my throat , Fenrir I want to thank you for saving me back there from the dungeon " I said nervously holding on to my skirt .

“ i did what I had to do " he replied not looking my way which made my heart break ,

i know I shouldn't be feeling this way but I guess this mate s**t is really messing with my brain .

“ Tonight is the full moon, and I will be shifting for the first time " I chipped in nervously .

Even though, I don't have the intentions of letting him into my life easily but right now this is an information he needs to know .

For the first time he turned to look at me , and my heart skipped a beat,

“ I'll guide you through , Anna " he replied and faced the road again .

“ I'm sorry to ask , where exactly is your pack located " I asked

“ inside Cleveland national forest , well hidden from humans " he answered

“ Okay , thank you " with that I continued to watch the sunset

It was exactly 7.21 pm when we reached the blood moon pack and I saw a big gate which was open by one of the patrol on duty . Ahead of us was a big house , one bigger than my father's house back at crystal pack and I guessed it to be the pack house.

Fenrir pulled up in front of the house and waited for a while before turning off the engine .

“ please make sure you discard that sack in the trash can outside , I've already mind linked my sister to get you new clothes and women things " Fenrir said , with so much authority that I admired .

I did as I was told, after all I had nothing of importance in that sack save my mother's picture which I picked before discarding the sack .

I followed him into the house , my goddess ,bit was so beautiful even in the dark . I noticed a big room I suspected to be the kitchen and he led me to a staircase that made me practically stop.

It was a very long stair case and I wondered how I'll cope while climbing it.

I thought Fenrir would be considerate to help me up, but he just gave me instructions on how to get to my room .

" Welcome to our pack , " Alpha Fenrir says, his eyes holding a mix of pride and concern . " Your room is in the east wing , third door on the left . It's marked with a crescent moon , so you can easily find it . If you need anything or have any questions , don't hesitate to ask .

“ Yes , I need something,right now " I said almost immediately making Fenrir to narrow his eyes

“ can you help me with the stair case ? I've never climbed one so long before and I don't know if I can do that right now considering my state " I requested

I had thought he'd take my hand but his action surprised me , Fenrir practically lifted me up and carried me all through the stairs .

As Fenrir lifted me effortlessly, his strong arms cradled me with care , i felt a surge of emotions . The physical closeness amplifies the already powerful bond between us, strengthening the connection on a profound level.

With each step he takes up the stairs , the bond between us deepens, a silent acknowledgment of the growing trust and intimacy between mates. His eyes met mine, conveying unspoken reassurance and love , affirming that I was cherished and protected in his presence .

The warmth of his touch and the steady beat of his heart against mine created a sense of unity , solidifying the bond that binds our souls together . It's a moment of profound closeness, where words are unnecessary , as the language of your hearts speaks volumes in this shared experience.

Suddenly this fantasy came to an end as he dropped me in front of my room and mumbled a goodnight while heading to his own room which was adjacent to mine .

Slowly I opened my room and was overwhelmed with the beauty . Near the window was a gigantic pink bed, I also noticed a neatly laid night wear on the bed which was something I never had all my life. There was a wardrobe by the left , a big dressing mirror near the ward robe.

Shutting the door behind me, Lazily I removed my clothes and went to the bathroom which was by the right.

My mouth was left open for some minutes at the wonders of the bathroom, I was made to bath outside in my former pack , which has just a little covering and I usually do so at night when people won't be loitering about.

Gently I stepped into the big bath tub that was already filled with warm water and rose petal. The scent was heavenly and I took in as much as I could .

Suddenly I felt someone touch me and I opened my eyes to see a young girl my age or maybe a year older standing over me ,

“ Ahh, my head hurt " I said immediately touching my head, “ where am I " I asked the girl ,

“ I came to bring you food and found you sleeping in your bath tub " she replied with smiles all over her face .

That moment I felt my face flush with embarrassment .

“ No you don't have to be embarrassed , it has happened to me countless times,when I'd return from work so tired , the warmth of the water is so soothing that sometimes I doze off inside my bathtub" she added which made me smile a bit .

“ I will let you finish up so that you can eat and have some rest, by the way my name is Esmeralda, Fenrir's sister " she said while trying to stand ,

“ I am Anna , it's nice to meet you , Esmeralda " I replied with a smile this time “ and thank you for everything " I added

“ oh stop it , you're part of us now , " she replied with a wink as she leaves the bathroom ".

“ she's nice " I told Ava, to which she quickly admitted .
