Chapter 15 , You again?

Anna's pov

I gently turned the knob and found Fenrir trying to open the same door .

what a coincidence.

“ I can see you've met my mother " he asked almost immediately ,

“ Where you eavesdropping ? " I asked him sharply ,

“ No , not at all , why would I ? I came to see my mother and know how she's faring " he replied feeling embarrassed

“ Alright , you can go and meet her " I stepped aside to let him pass so I can leave ,

After I left Lady Lovett's room I went to my room to rest my head . I had laid down on the bed for a while but felt the need to get some fresh air so l decided to go downstairs maybe have some snack in the kitchen .

Carefully I went down the stairs to the kitchen section and there I met Geraldine and the other younger cooks . I remembered where she had shown me the cookies earlier on and I went straight to get some .

“ Hi Geraldine , please I'd like to have some cookies " I asked while picking them already ,

“ Sure Luna , there's no need asking its very much available dear " she's replied

“ Thanks , I'll just take these to the living room " , with that I headed out , my stomach already expecting the delicious cookies .

Thank heavens the snack was handy as I felt terribly hungry even though I just ate few hours ago .

I sat down on a couch and placed my snack on the side stool beside the couch , just then a lady walked in . She was dressed in a white flowery gown that kissed her skin which was also above her knees. She has blonde hair that was packed in a ponytail, heavy make up and she chewed her gum noisily.

“ A maid is not meant to seat on the couch, get up before you stain it "

“ And ,who are you ? " I asked looking surprised,

" I'm Queen, girlfriend and future Luna of this pack " she replied as she blew her gum

“ Queen ? what a beautiful name so undeserving of a slut " I retorted back

Queen tried to slap me but I caught her hand midway , raising myself to tower over her as she was a petite woman.

“ If you ever try this again, I'll make sure you do not have a hand to do so again " I forcefully pushed her hand away from me

“ I am not done with you, slave . Soon you will kneel down at my feet and beg for mercy "

“ Do not challenge your Luna, Queen? It's a disrespect not only to her but to me as well and I will not take it lightly with you if it happens again , now get lost " Fenrir commanded and she scampered away .

“ You should have let me deal with her myself , Alpha" I rolled my eyes

“ And watch her disrespect you ? if you've seen me watching I'm sure you must have made a huge problem out of it and besides I'm also protecting my pack , Luna. " he replied and turned to leave ,

“ wait "

honestly I didn't know when the word slipped from my mouth , Ava has been so crazy and me on the other hand is also enjoying his fresh woody scent.

" I'm waiting " he replied,this time his face showed so much seriousness that the flickers in his eyes that I saw moments ago were no longer there. Those eyes that showed a deep sense of longing is now dark and void of emotions .

“ I'm sorry for the way I reacted earlier , Thank you for standing by me " it seems to do the magic as his eyes came alive again , lesson well learnt . “ Do you mind snacking with me "? I added.

Deep down in me I love this man but I didn't want to appear desperate.

“ I don't snack Anna, come have a glass of wine with me , please " he extended his hand towards me and I took it.

“ very well then, a glass only " I replied while taking my plate of cookies . I literally followed him back to his office, he had suggested his room and I declined.
