Chapter 14 , Lady Lovett

Anna's pov

“ I can see you met some pack members ? " Esmeralda asked ,

“ Yes and I think they are nice " I replied as we entered the house and up the stairs again .

“ nervous ? " ,

“ You can say " I let out a nervous smile .

Soon we were headed back to the same stairs that led to the my room and the Alpha.

we stood on a door that had ” Lady Lovett " on it . Esmeralda gave a light knock and a quiet sweet voice answered from within “ come in " . Esmeralda turned the bolt and we went it .

It was a king-size room, as twice as mine if not thrice . Everything she ever needed was in the room including a small kitchen .

I saw a Lady sitted on a wheelchair , She faced the door directly . She might be in her late forties if not fifty . She had her hair locked .

“ Wow , is this your hair ? " I asked looking mesmerized at the beauty

“ Yes , it is . I locked it actually. it is called sisterlocks " . She gave me those Esmeralda smiles .

“ You like it ? " she asked ,

“ Like ? I love it , it's so neat and beautiful , can I feel it " I asked timidly

“ Sure , you can " she replied ,

“ It feels like wool and I love the feeling "

mmh mmh , Esmeralda clears her throat.

“ Anna , meet my mom , Lady Lovett . Mom meet Anna , Fenrir's mate and future Luna " Esme introduced us

“ It's really nice to meet you ma'am, sorry about the distraction. I was only carried away , I apologize " ,

“ You don't have to apologize , it's nice meeting you too , Anna , have a seat " she gestured to the dressing chair near the bed .

“ Thanks Lady Lovett " I sat facing her

“ I have things to do outside so I'll leave you two alone" with that Esme walked out of the room .

I felt more nervous now that Esme is out of the room .

“ How are you Anna " she asked , trying the clear the tension written all over my face .

“ I am fine Lady Lovett " I replied with my eyes on my laps

“ I know this wasn't the best way to bring you here , especially without any wedding ceremony but not to worry ,it will be soon "

“ I appreciate your concern my lady but I don't think it's necessary " I replied ,

“ And why not ? "

“ I don't see a future with your son , we both do not belong to the same class " I replied and immediately wished I never said those words to this pretty old Lady.

“Give it time my child , everything will fall into place . I hope you are comfortable here "

“ I just got here and it has been nice " I answered calmly ,

“ It's alright my dear , I just wanted to meet my son's mate and I know your coming will make him a better man . You can go ahead and have some rest or just anything you want to do after now " She told me tenderly with eyes full of love just like her daughter,

“ It's alright Lady Lovett , can I ask you for a favor ? " I asked her

“ Anything my dear " she replied with her ever charming smiles ,

“ Can I call you mama ? " ,

Her eyes widen

“ why would you want to do that " her voice still tender ,

“ Uhm, I never had one , so I felt since this will be my new family I might just call you that " I replied looking down

Raising my chin gently with her fingers to make me look into her eyes, she replied

“ You are free dear child , if that is what you want " ,

I simply nodded in approval

“ I will be going to my room now mama " I said standing to leave ,

“ Will you come down for dinner " she asked ,

“ Yes I will " I answered,

“ Very well then , dinner is by 6 "

“ I won't miss it mama " I held her warm hands and kissed the back if it and she blushed , smiling widely .

I left for the door , suddenly a fresh Woody scent hit my nose , Fenrir.

It must be my mate ,but why is his scent so strong around the door ?
