Chapter 13, A breathe of fresh air

Anna's pov

I went outside the pack house with the intent of seeing Esmeralda, but immediately I opened the door I felt the cool air around me and it felt like peace . The sun wasn't shining , as a cloud covered it partially.

“ looks like it might rain this morning " I told myself ,

Just then two teens ran by .

“ Excuse me , please have you seen Esmeralda ? ,

“ Who are you ?" the girl asked trying to catch her breathe ,

“ My name is Anna , I came here just yesterday " I replied ,

“ Are you here on transfer or you found your mate here " the boy asked me ,

“ Both " I smiled , and what are your names?

“ Oh , I'm Bryan and this is my sister Kathrine . We are both new scouts so we are working very hard to see that we pass the test .

“ oh that's alright Bryan , please if you see Esmeralda let her know I'm searching for her .

With that the two went their way .

I couldn't stop admiring the Serene environment . Here was calm compared to the my former pack , which is rather noisy .

At the centre of the compound was a water fountain with the statue of a man I guessed to be Fenrir's Dad at the middle bringing out water from his hands . It was a beautiful structure.

There was a small garden with lots of flowers , I only recognized the rose flower cause Victoria always bring them to me . she said I was the rose in her life .

I went over and picked up a rose flower and placed it on my hair and the scent filled my nostrils .

Suddenly i felt someone was watching me , I became alert as I scanned the nearby forest . My gaze fell on a shadow that looks like a wolf, I couldn't tell if it was from the pack or rogues but something within me pushed me to check it out.

Carefully I strolled down to the place I had seen the wolf , but the wolf was gone . As I was still having a closer look I felt a hand over my shoulder that jolted me badly .

“ Hey Anna , it's just me . "

It was Esmeralda as she gave a surrender gesture .

“ What were you looking for ? " she asked me

“ I came out looking for you , when I suddenly felt like someone was watching me but when I got here , it was gone ." I replied

“ It could be anyone from the patrol , don't worry , you have nothing to worry about " she replied trying to soothe my worry

Together we went back into the pack house.
