Chapter 22 – Chase Me

938 Words
Fiona The familiar taste of metallic filled my mouth. Blood coating my teeth sent Autumn into fits of excitement as she wanted this done, wanted to run, to jump, to sort out issues we clearly had with our mate. Even now he had moved, he did not trust us, he was going to interfere with the challenge. He would see Erica as his Luna his partner over me. Erica continued to struggle beneath me, refusing to submit. She would not give up, she was stubborn and strong, she wanted this. I could sense her wolf becoming uneasy as they fought the urge to submit. Clawing at the dirt, she tried to blind me, she was out of ideas and had no escape. With a final whine she loosened her limbs going limp against the dirt beneath her. She still refused to submit and I would not demand it, I had earnt the respect I wanted. The pack would know that she was weak and that I had earnt my position, that I deserved it. Taking a step back I released my teeth from her neck and my weight from her body. Staggering to her feet with her body slightly lowered, I turned away to move towards my mate, we had much to establish between us. He was mine, he was allowed no other. As I moved in his direction, his eyes brightened. He too took the opportunity to move towards me, but then I felt it. The hate, the anger, the embarrassment. It flowed from her, filling the space between us, she was not finished. The second she moved, I could hear her, feel the air shifting behind me. I could sense her, like so many others that I had tried to give the second chance to live. An like so many rogues before her, she would not be happy with her life, would not be happy to walk away. After the first one, I would never again let down my guard to allow myself to be compromised by the other parties lack of honour. Before I even tried to move to block her attack, Tristen had already moved. He was fast, faster then I could have imagined. He had her pinned to the floor whining in submission in a heartbeat. Her wolf whimpering out loudly, but Tristen didn’t let up, wouldn’t release her. I watched as his claws sunk deeper and deeper into her flesh. He was taking this too far, he could inflict irreparable damage to her if he continued. Every person bowed their head, not one person spoke up. Fear was evident, nobody dared to move an inch. I didn’t like the girl, but she did not deserve this, she would learn. Leaning into Tristen I nipped at his side trying to pull his attention. Ignored, I let out a little growl as I nibbled his ear while tugging on it. Turning round, Tristen had released Erica snarling menacingly at me. His muzzle pulled tightly back as he bared his teeth. The second his eyes met mine they widened as he froze on the spot lowering his head slightly. Fighting the urge to snap back at his actions, I turned, I ran. I needed time, time to run, time to clear my head. I did not need to look behind me to know a few seconds after my absconding, he followed. He stayed a distance back, not entering my space. It felt amazing as I stretched my legs out running, sprinting as fast as I could. Jumping and weaving through the forest I delighted in the smells, the breeze, the freedom that it was to run. That was until I sensed a boundary approaching. Tristen’s paced quickened behind me making up the distance between us in seconds as grew nearer the edge of his land. I could smell it, the marks of his pack, the welcome or warning it presented to allies or foes. Feeling his body growing closer to my own, I could hear the unevenness of his running as his paws kicked hard at the floor. His muscular frame crashed into my own forcing me to a halt as he settled his weight on top of my own. Closing my eyes I felt his tongue on my muzzle licking in affection, in apology, in approval. Wanting more then he was offering I turned my head away. Autumn was caving it, but we needed to remain strong. He was going to accept another she wolf as his mate. He growled at us, he did not trust in us. He was our mate, according to Autumn, our perfect match. Did he think me not perfect, did he think me weak, unworthy even? I could not deny the attraction between us, the scent that overwhelmed my senses, the sparks that shot like lightening though me, the feelings and sensations he brought out in me. Especially in that lower region, I have never felt anything there before, now it ached, it burned, it needed something… I needed something. However, I was… well mad, I was mad at him, but his touch sent shockwaves of pleasure through my body. It was hard to be mad when I was melting underneath his body, craving more of him as his fur brushed against my own.
