The spell released us the moment Valta and Elias dragged Zephyr's unconscious body around the corner.
"ZEPHYR!" Zane lunged forward, but the hallway was already engulfed in flames and it burnt a good portion of our bodies.
"We have to go through," I said, already gathering magic to shield us.
"There's no time," a voice said behind us.
I spun to find Avalon, covered in soot and blood, supporting an injured pack member. "The whole structure is coming down. If you go that way, you'll die."
"She's out there, we can still save her if we leave now..." Zane started.
"What makes you so sure?" Avalon asked. He looked like he knew something we didn't. "I saw Valta take her. They went out the back and there was a car waiting for them."
