*Piper’s Journal- Age 18*
Today was not better. In fact, it was much worse than I expected. It seemed like one of the Alpha’s was always in the same room as me, which would have been frustrating on its own. When you add in the fact that I was mates with them it makes it excruciating to be in the same room as them. All my wolf wants to do is be with them. I have strong urges to reach out and touch them, to kiss them. My mind keeps involuntarily flipping back and forth between images of them holding me and images of them f*****g my brains out. It makes it very hard to concentrate.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Alpha Victor still seemed upset that I was here. His presence loomed over me as I cleaned, his eyes piercing the back of my head. It’s easy for me to tell the two Alphas apart now that I know who is who, but bring their mate makes it much easier as I could smell them strongly. They both smelled different, but absolutely delicious. Alpha Ivan smelled like the most delicious apple pie in the world. When he was nearby I was practically drooling from his scent, which he seemed to notice and find amusing.
For example, I was cleaning a conference room earlier, right? And Alpha Ivan walked into the room. I paused for a moment to control myself from succumbing to the urge to jump his bones, which caused him to let out a small laugh and stroll up to me. He stopped right in front of me, and I stared at the floor, not wanting to look at him. After a moment he lightly grabbed my chin and turned my face up to look at him.
“I must not have been clear yesterday, Piper. I want you to look at me, always. I don’t want you staring at the floor, I want to see those pretty eyes of yours, okay?” He said softly.
“Yes Alpha Ivan, I understand.” I managed to respond. His touch effected me in ways I could never imagine, and it was taking all of my willpower not to lean in for more. What I couldn’t control though was my arousal at his touch, which I knew Alpha Ivan could smell. I blushed and tried to turn my head away, embarrassed by my reaction to him, but he wouldn’t let me.
“Don’t be embarrassed little dove, it’s a perfectly natural reaction to your mates touch. You smell divine, I can’t wait until the day when I can finally taste you and worship your body like you deserve.”
I swallowed hard as his words had the desired effect on me, causing me to clench my legs together. A low growl broke the s****l tension growing between me and Alpha Ivan as I turned to see who was growling. I already knew the answer though. It was Alpha Victor.
Alpha Victor smelled like pine trees, which would normally make me feel happy and safe. I love pine trees, and the scent of them calms me. But with Alpha Victor I was always on edge.
When Alpha Victor entered the room, the s****l tension was replaced by plain regular tension, which was not nearly as satisfying.
Alpha Victor growled again, saying “What are you doing Ivan? We had an agreement.”
“Victor, I never said I would stay away from her. I agreed not to force her into anything. That I would go at her pace. You’re the one who wanted nothing to do with her.” Alpha Ivan responded.
Well that didn’t feel good to hear. I mean, I knew Alpha Victor wasn’t happy I was his mate, but it still hurt to hear.
“Of course I want nothing to do with her, and you shouldn’t either. Our mate is supposed to become the Luna of this pack. Does she look like a Luna to you? She would never be a good Luna. She isn’t worthy of being our mate. You should admit it to yourself sooner rather than later, Ivan.” Alpha Victor spit out.
I froze at his words, and I could feel Alpha Ivan freeze as well. Alpha Victor’s hatred of me was obvious from his words, and it didn’t feel good. Soon anger bubbled up inside me as I did something so stupid that it will haunt me forever.
“Reject me then.” I said, stepping towards Alpha Victor.
Both Alpha Victor and Alpha Ivan snapped their heads towards me.
“Piper, my little dove, what-“ I held my hand up to stop Alpha Ivan from finishing.
Looking Alpha Victor straight in the eyes, I said “No Alpha Ivan, if he hates me so much, thinks I am so unworthy, he should reject me. I’ll gladly accept the rejection. All he has to do is say the words.”
Alpha Victor’s eyes flashed with something I couldn’t place, but it was gone as fast as it came. He stood there for a long moment staring at me before turning on his heel and storming out of the room.
I let out a shaky breath that I hadn’t realized I had been holding in. Alpha Ivan reached for me, but I pulled away.
“Little dove, please let me hold you, you’re upset.” He begged.
“I apologize for my outburst Alpha Ivan. But I need to be alone right now. I hope you can understand.” I couldn’t look him in the eyes as I spoke.
“It kills me to leave you like this, but I’ll respect your wishes. If you change your mind please let me know.” He said sadly before walking out of the room.
As soon as he was gone I collapsed into a heap on the floor, all strength I had leaving my body. I don’t know what possessed me and made me be so bold towards Alpha Victor, but I was extremely worried about the consequences of doing so. One question lingered on my mind though.
Why didn’t Alpha Victor reject me?
