I Do Have Friend??

The next morning.

Did I imagine it or there was a soft pounding sound emanating from the front door?

Mom got up from her chair and went to check.For safety measures, I did inspect twice with [Trace] but there seems to be nothing in my radar sense. 

Since I had done eating my breakfast, I followed her from her back. She opened the door...

"Oh my..." She was surprised

I was wondering who was at the door. I sneaked behind her to take a look.

Oh, it just two small children. 

*sigh 

I let a big sigh, again I was worried for nothing. Huh? Wait.... Whose children are these?

"Ezra come here, your friends came to visit you....oh here you are."

Huh? Weird...Since when did I make friend with them. I step in front of my mom to see them closer.

The child on his left side was a boy who seems to be two years older than him, he quite tall for his age, skinny and has reddish-brown skin. He has fine brown hair.

While the child on his right side was a girl who seems to be around his age, she has beautiful pink eyes and short peach hair colour.

Ezra had never seen them before.

It was a very awkward moment, he doesn't know what to say. They have been kept staring at each other. Until the boy pulled out a small-size wooden sword from his back which he kept hiding for a while.

Ezra was stunned! He remembered it was the sword that he made and left it up there on the hill. 

"Teach us!.." The boy asked eagerly.

"Yeah sure let's play but not here...he he he" Ezra quickly give a reply to the boy. Ezra was afraid that if he let the boy continue talking, his ability to conjure magic might be exposed, he assumed.

Then, he twirled his back toward his mother to get her permission. As he was about to move his mouth. Her mother already gave him her approval but under one condition, he needs to return home before the afternoon.

Then, the three of them walked together to the hill near their village. As they were headed to the spot, Ezra had been bombarded by a lot of question from the boy, while the girl just stayed tight-lipped.

"By the way, my name is Theo, and this is Clara, what's yours?" He said.

Hmm, such a pretty name, it is easy to remember it.

"My name is Ezra" he replied to them. Ezra are not that cold-hearted to ignore them so he answered their question and being friendly towards them. He was thinking about the rumours that he heard from his mother last night. Are they the boy and the girl of that rumours? They did have radiating an unusual energy from them. 

The place is not that far, after following the path, they arrived at the big tree where Ezra always used it as his training spot.

At this time, Ezra's face became brooding and serious. He had to because he needs them to answer him honestly.

"Are you two the only ones who were at that time...?" He asked them.

"...Yes only the two of us..."  he replied.

"Have you tell anyone about this.." He added another question.

"No, we didn't.." 

"Good..." I postulated.

"Does that mean you are going to teach us" 

"I will if you answer me honestly this last one question." He said, Ezra has not trusted them yet. He hasn't thought about teaching them but there was something he wants to know first and he needs to find a way to make them keep this secret. Either way, he might end up teaching them and this might be the last thing he would do to silence them.

Both of them had remained quiet afterwards and they were giving their full concentration to what Ezra was going to ask them. Ezra looked into their eyes which seems to be determined.

They both looked at each other and then noddedtheir head.

Then, he asked.

"Have you tell anyone about me?" 

Both of them was confused with his same question. However, they still answer with the same answer as before. Then, Ezra pointed his finger towards the bushes nearby.

"Come out there no use hiding anymore, I can see your hair from here!" He shouted.

Then, 4 kids came out of the bushes.

"Them again!."Theo he was also shocked.

Ezra just realised that even with his [Trace] he can't detect children as long as they had not developed their mana core yet. Luckily, he saw there was something suspicious moving in the bushes.

"Are they your friends?" Ezra asked Theo and Clara.

Ezra took a glance at their reactions but seemed like they were gritting their teeth and didn't even show them their face.

"Friends...no, who would want to befriend with those trashes," said the blonde-spiky haired boy.

Mmm, are they not in a good term with each other? Ezra was questioning himself.

"We had wondered where the two of you had been playing around...so it was here all the time.."Said the short-haired girl.

"This place is still around the village... You should go somewhere far away than here." Said the black-haired boy.

"How many times do we have to say it until you guys understand we don't accept outsiders like you here!" The boy with his messy red hair said it while raising his voices.

I think this is going a little bit too far for a fight between children. Ezra had thought. 

"Hey, Jack how about you go and teach them some lesson again." Said one of them.

The blonde-spiky haired boy walked between Theo and Clara then straight towards Ezra.

"Nah, I let them go today, I don't want to get my hand dirty." Jack said with his smirked face.

"Let's go, Clara....we shouldn't be here.."Theo pulled Clara's hand and walked towards the path down the hill.

Jack then approaching Ezra. Then, he stood in front of him and offer him a handshake.

"Come with us, they are just bothersome to you.." He said it loudly as if he was trying to let Theo and Clara hear it.

Ezra stared at his hand that was extending to him. Mm, this kid name is Jack huh? What a bizarre personality for his age. Ezra had thought to himself.

Then, Ezra walked past him and ignored him.People who can not respect others does not even worth earning his respect, no matter who they are, children, adult, or even the King himself.

Ezra ran and went to chase Theo and Clara and leaving the spot just like that.

"...."  Jack gripped his hand. He felt embarrassed and irritated. 

"Hahaha, he got you good..."

"Shhh..." 

"That boy...he better pay for humiliating me." Jack

Where did they go? As Ezra ran down the hill he had lost both of them. 

Look like I have no other choices, Ezra then took a deep breath, and closing his eyes. He tried to sense the flow of wind. 

Then, afterwards, he could see the wind pattern in a white-milky long thread moving in a current.

[O, the path of the wind, that blow from East to West, who can travel and feel what in your way, I pleaded to you to show me, their location]

Then in his mind, the long milky threads were moving to all the places, the pictures were a bit blurry. There were a lot of images in white structure displayed in his mind, The villagers, the houses, and the barns but there are not a single shape that looked like Clara and Theo.

Then, he changed the path of the wind into the forest...after a few minutes, he saw two figures of children were running from the East side from him.

They are not that far away yet. Ezra thought to himself. Then, he let the mana circulated in his lower part and began dashing towards them. With this, he could catch up to them in a few seconds.

.....

"Whe-....where are we going.?" Asked Clara.

"We are leaving this village," Theo said.

Then, after been running for more than a minute they stopped. They were grasping out of breath.

"We-..we should take a rest first"

Clara had a gloomy-looking on her face. There are tears being hold in her eyes. Theo who understood her feelings tried to calm her.

"It will be fine, we are going to another village." He said convincingly.

"Why-.. I thought that...It will be a happy life..after we were freed..."Clara said while seemed to be sobbing in tears.

"..." 

As they were overwhelmed with total sadness and loss, suddenly came a sound of heavy footsteps greetings the two children.
