She decided she would stop by Paulie’s and check with him to see if he needed anything else. She was concerned; he had seemed anxious the last time they talked. She had assured him she would stop by today with groceries.
When she arrived at Paulie’s, she went in and turned on the radio, then went to the bookshelf and opened the door to Paulie’s safe room. She called his name, but he did not answer. She quickly went in and looked around the room. He was not there. She took out her phone and called Zack.
