Chapter 6

"Here you go Ms. Hudson these were dropped off and was told to be brought here." He says

"Thank you Jules." I tell him

"Anything I can get you?" He asks

"No that's all." I say handing him a tip

He nods and walks away and I kick the door shut. I walk over to Luke and toss him his clothes and I get dressed in a flowy dress and some heels. I curl my hair and do my make up and I grab my phone and keys and we go down front. I get a cab and we take it to his dads. Luke doesn't even knock when we get there we walk straight in.

"Dad" He shouts

"In here" He calls

We walk in and his dad and mom are sitting in the living room chatting.

"Ah Sophia nice to see you again" his dad says

"You to Sir" I say sitting down and crossing my legs

"So about the company. I know you freaked out last night when you found out I owned it but i'm picking you out of a lot of people. I've been to your father's office and watched you. You get into your own bubble and you don't take bullshit off anyone. I like that you work hard and you make sure everything is done right the first time. As I remember people calling you the Ice Queen and that's what you are when you work. And apparently my son sees something in you as well so that's always a plus. And if you guys take that step the farm house is only thirty minutes from the office." He says smiling

"The Ice Queen is what I named myself. I hate when people don't do their jobs. I'm a hardass and I hate fixing other people's mistakes. Do it right the first time or you will find yourself with a job. My father raised me right and my mother may have died when I was little but she was just like me. I remember her always telling me school first and work hard. I was valedictorian in high school, I'm top in my class in college and graduating with honors." I telling him smirking

"Do you honestly think your better than us?" Luke's mom cuts in

I stand up and walk in front of her and lean down in her face.

"You will not scare me away from your son. My father is Luther Hudson. I know for a fact that he has helped your husband out more than once. So yes I think I am better than YOU. Your son is my equal and I happen to like your husband. But you will never intimidate me. I don't like your attitude and your son is never going to work in a company. If you would get your head out of your ass then you would realize that he loves the farm. Now when you decide you want to show me some respect and say your sorry for being a rude b***h then till then do not speak to me" I say standing up and smiling

I look at Mr. Richards and Luke and they both die laughing. Mr. Richards stands up and hugs me and I hug him back.

"That is the first time someone has ever stood up to her. I'm so proud" He tells me

"Well she needs to learn her place" I say looking at her

She looked so defeated and I smirked.

"So who's up for lunch?" I ask

"Ooh me." Luke says smiling

"Can I barrow you kitchen?" I ask

"Your going to cook?" Paul asks (Luke's dad)

"I am. I mean as long as you don't mind me using the kitchen" I say

"No of course. Not it's been a long time since I had a home cooked meal" He says

"She doesn't cook?" I ask

"No. She can burn water" He says

I huff and walk into the kitchen. There were maids and butlers in the kitchen and I smiled at them.

"Ok guys I'm cooking. Everyone go home" I tell them

"Are you sure miss? I would be happy to cook" A maid says

"No go home. I got this." I tell them

"Listen to her. Go home." Paul says

"Thank you sir" They all say

I tie my hair back and kick off my heels in the corner and I walk over to the fridge and pull out some chicken.

"babe" I call

"Yes?" He asks

"Can you get my phone and turn on my music?" I ask

"Of course" He says and walks away

Paul takes a seat at the bar and watches me. Soon his wife joins him and I see Luke plug in my phone and turn on my music. I starting singing and swaying to the music while I cook. Paul pours us a glass of wine and I sip it while putting my chicken in a pan. His wife stands up when Paul drags Luke away and walks out of the kitchen huffing.

I shrug and continue to cook and dance around their kitchen.

"Babe" I shout

"What is it?" He asks

"Could you please set the table?" I ask

He nods and walks away and comes back wrapping his arms around me. I smile and lean into him and he kisses my neck and I swat him away and carry the food to the table. Luke pulled out my chair and then took his seat next to me. Everyone took the first bite and moaned.

"This is absolutely amazing Sophia" Paul says

"Thanks. I learned from the best women ever. My mom and Marcy taught me while I was growing up. After my mom passes Marcy became that mother figure to me. I stayed in the kitchen with her growing up. Homework first and then i would bake with her. My dad paid for her to take me to the top cooking academy over the summer one year and I loved it. When I'm home I bake with her a lot" I tell him

"Mary is your maid?" Paul asks

"She is our cook. Her husband his my driver when I'm home. They are like the grandparents I never had. I don't know what I would do if I went home and they weren't there" I tell him

"You seem like your very close" Paul says

"We are. There is only Marcy, Tom, my dad, and one other maid in the house. That's all I ever trusted so that is all my dad would allow to work in our house." I tell him

"I see." he says

"I don't see the point in twenty maids in one house. You pay more for that many when you only use maybe five rooms in your house. Three is enough for anyone" I tell him

"So you don't like to have a lot of people around?' Paul asks

"No that's not it. I just don't see the point in that many maids. Besides when you grow up and go through what I've been through then you don't like a lot of people in your business. I am a only child so I never knew what it was like to have a brother or sister. I love kids though. I want kids. At least two. My dad is begging for grandkids but I'm not ready to take that step yet. I want to be married first." I say smiling

"So do I see grandchildren in my future son?" Paul asks him with a smirk

"We will see dad" He says

"Oh speaking of kids my best friend from high school just got engaged and is having their first babies. She is pregnant with twins and I couldn't be happier for them. They always did things backwards. The truly have the fairy tale love story. I watched them both love and hate each other from a far. They used me as their middle man. I got them together by locking them both in a closet. They went through high school and college together and moved in together when they graduated high school. I got to watch it all unfold and fall together. I was so happy to hear that I was going to have nieces and nephews from them" I say smiling

"Wow well congrats on your new nieces and nephews. Are you going to throw her a baby shower?" Paul asks

"I am. I have three months till I graduate and then she is due the month after. I'm going home as soon as I graduate so I can throw the baby shower and be there when the twins are born and get settled at home then I'm coming back here to start work." I tell him

"That sounds good." Paul says

I go to speak up and there is a knock on the front door. Mrs. Richards gets up and goes to answer it.

"Aw Stacy how lovely to see you sweetheart" She says

I grit my teeth together as she walks in.

"Luke I didn't know you were home" Stacy says

"Yes I am. I wanted dad to meet my girlfriend but it seems he already knew her" Luke says kissing my cheek

"How nice. Suzy here thought I would like to have dinner with you all" Stacy says

"Sorry I didn't know you were coming and I didn't make enough" I tell her smiling

"You cooked? What are you a made?" She says smugly

"No I'm Sophia Hudson" I say standing up

"H-Hudson? As in Luther Hudson?" She stutters out

"Yes that is my dad" I say grinning

"Sorry Suzy but f**k your plan to get rid of her. My father works for her father." Stacy says and walks out

Luke shoots her a glare and stands up.

"Dad we are leaving and we won't be back. Mother stay away from my girlfriend. If I find out you are harassing her in any way I will have a restraining order put out on you and have you sent to jail" Luke says sternly

"I'm your mother" She screeches

"And I'm the son your just lost" He says taking my hand

"Paul I will call you tomorrow. I'd like to see the office if that ok with you?" I ask

"Of course. Call me when you get up" He says

I nod and we leave and take a cab back to the hotel. As soon as we walked in the hotel I see Casey, the four guys and my dad. I looked at Luke and he flinched. I turned around and walked out of the hotel and caught a cab before anyone could catch me. I was taken to the liquor store and to the beach. I walked along the beach drinking my vodka till the bottle was empty and i was staggering. I managed to call a cab to take me back to the hotel and when I got to my room everyone was sitting there waiting on me.

"Get out" I say and walk to my room

I slam the door closed and I pull off my dress and I lay down not even bothering to cover up. I was so drunk that I passed right out. When I woke up the next morning I showered and got dressed in a cute summer dress. I added some heels and did my make up and walked out to the kitchen. When I walked out everyone was sitting there talking. I walked over and made my hot tea and sat down drinking it.

"Sophia" Lance says

I ignore him and continue drinking my tea. After I finish it I stand up and grab my keys and phone and head for the door but Cody stops me.

"Move" I say in a duh tone

"Not until you talk to us" He says

"Cody move or I swear to god you will be sorry" I snap at him

He shakes his head and I place my phone down and I turn around and knee him in the balls. He drops to the ground and I kick him out of my way. I pick up my phone and open the door and walk out grinning. I take a cab and make him drive me around town while I can Paul.

"Hello?" He says

"Paul it's Sophia. Can I come by?" I ask

"Of course. Take the elevator to the 24th floor and come all the way down the hallway and my office is at the end" He says

"Ok. See you soon" I tell him

He hangs up and I tell the driver where to go. He drops me off and I walk in the building with my head held high. I take the elevator to the top and walk down the long hallway and stop at his PA's desk.

"Hi. I'm Ms. Hudson. Mr. Richards is waiting on me" I tell her

She nods and calls him and tells me to go on in. When I walk in I gasp at the view.

"I thought you would like it. I'm only using this office today. This will be your office. Tell me what you want done and how you like things and i'll have my designer come in and have it done by time you come in." He says

"Alright. And just so you know if your son lies to me one more time he will be single as a pringle" I say smiling

"What did he do this time?" Paul asks

"He called my dad and friends and told them where I was. I got into a ugly fight with them about my past and Luke is the one that told them all about it without asking me first. No one knows what happened to me but Casey who is my college best friend and my dad" I tell him sighing

"How bad could it be?" He asks

"I was abused mentally, physically, and sexually" I tell him raising a eyebrow

He sucks in a breathe and nods.

"I understand why you would be mad. It's your decision on who you want to know. May I ask what exactly happened?" He asks

"I had the typical high school sweetheart. We moved in together right after high school. It started with hurtful words and then a slap here and there and then he would hit me for no reason. Then he raped me and I got pregnant and when I told him he beat me till I lost the baby. He locked me in a closet and my dad found me barely alive. Nothing could be done about it. There was no traces of us actually dating. When he locked me in a closet he got rid of everything that showed we had been dating. There was no clothes, pictures nothing." I tell him

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that. But it looks like you are healthy and doing great in life" He says

"I am. I just wish that everyone would leave me alone about it. I want to forget it but no one will let me. I even went to therapy and she told me I was doing absolutely great. She said I didn't need to be there. She said I coped with it well and I came to see her on my own terms and that me wanting to move on with my life was the best thing for me. Your son is the first man I've dated since Weston." I tell him honestly

"Come on. Your coming with me" He says

I nod and he walks out and locks up the office and we drive to my hotel. We go to my room and of course everyone is still there. I kick off my heels and sit by Paul.

"Sophia" Brett starts

"No. Do not open your mouth young man. Lets start off with my son. First off you had no right to tell the young men your girlfriends past. I get that you want to protect her but it's not your place. Stay out of it and I mean it. Second Casey you should have stepped up as her best friend and punched him in the eye and told him to shut his trap. Third you young men must mean a lot to this young lady and if you do love her then you wouldn't have butted into her life. It's her decision to tell you when and if and what she wants to tell you about HER life. And fourth Mr. Hudson obviously you know what she has been through. You know she went to therapy and she is doing great in her life. Why would you let people keep bringing it up knowing it hurts your daughter. I know you love her I'm not saying you don't. I'm saying that you need to step up as her father and tell the fuckers to back off. DO you know she told me in every detail what happened to her. You know why she told me? Because she can trust me. I see that she is a very smart, beautiful woman and she is making a great life for herself. Why would any of you want to keep bringing up a terrible past that only hurts the person you love? Think about that" Paul says

I just look at him wide eyed and my mouth hanging open. I lean over and hug and I don't let go for several minutes.

"Thank you" I whisper

"Any time sweetie. Now this old man needs to get back to the office." he says standing up and walking out

I turn around and everyone was just sitting there staring. Casey stood up and walked over to me and just stared at me.

"Forever?" She whispers

I smile and look at her.

"Always" I tell her

She smiles and launches herself into my arms and squeezes me tightly.

"I'm really sorry" She whispers

"I know." I tell her

"I'm not off the hook am I?" She asks

"Nope" I say popping the P

She sighs but nods and takes a seat. Cody stands and waddles over to me and I look up at him.

"I'm sorry for tricking you and taking you back to the house" He says

I smile and hug him around his waist.

"I will not say sorry for kneeing you in your baby maker. You deserved it and you know it" I tell him

"I know." He says and kisses the top of my head

Greg stood up and came over to me and looked at me.

"Your really ok?" He asks

I nod and he sighs and runs his fingers through his hair and I wrap my arms around him and snuggle into his chest. I step back and Brett makes the next move. He gets down on his knees and pouts it makes me giggle and I open my arms and he crawls over to me on his knees and lays his head on my tummy and I wrap my arms around his head. He finally stands up and kisses my forehead and moves to stand behind me. My dad stands next and walks over to me and just hugs me.

"I'm sorry ladybug" He says

"I know daddy." I whisper

He let's me go and moves around me. Hunter moves next and he walks over to me and just hugs me. I don't make a move to hug him back and he moves back to look at me.

"I'm so sorry kitten" He whispers

I lean up and kiss his cheek and he nods and moves around me. I look over to see Lance with his head in his hands looking at the ground. I look at everyone and they all leave and I walk over to him and kneel in front of him.

"Lancey" I mumble

He slowly looks at me and I see he's crying. I gasp and stand up and pull him into my arms.

"I'm so so sorry you had to go through that" He mumbles into my tummy

"It's ok. I'm ok" I tell him

I sit down and pull him down on the couch beside me and I run my fingers through his hair. I could tell her hadn't been sleeping cause of the dark circles under his eyes. I kissed his forehead and his eyes slid closed. When I stopped running my fingers through his hair his eyes snapped open.

"Come on. Let's go get in bed and I'll cuddle with you" I tell him

He nods and stands up and we walk to a spare room and he strips down to his boxers and I pull my dress over my head and pull on his t shirt. I crawl in bed with him and I start running my fingers through his hair again. I soon felt myself falling asleep with him and we both fell asleep. For the first time in years I fell asleep in my best friends arms.

I was slowly pulled into a slumber when I heard voices.

"I remember the first time we found them like this. He had just broke up with his first love and he ran to Sophy." Someone says

"i know. I watched her cuddle him and run her fingers through his hair til they both fell asleep." Someone else says

"Come on let's wake them they need to eat dinner" Someone else says

"Kitten" Brett mumbles

"hmm" I hum

"Come on get up. You need to eat dinner" He whispers

I groan and snuggle into Lance's chest more. Brett chuckles but lifts me up and I whine.

"No" I whine

He ignores me and carries me into the living and places me on the couch. Soon Lance comes out and sits down on the couch and I crawl into his lap and he pulls a blanket over me and I snuggle back into his chest.

"Always the favorite after a fight" Hunter says chuckling

"Come on Kitten you need to eat" Greg says

"No. Not wanna" I say hiding under the blanket

"the sooner you eat the sooner you two can sleep more" Hunter says

I sigh but lean up and take my plate and start stuffing my face. I eat in less than five minute and I lean back into Lance again and close my eyes. Soon I feel someone try to lift me and I grip onto Lance. They keep pulling me and my eyes snap open and I see Luke pulling on me.

"Stop" I snap

He sighs and tries to lift me up again and I growl.

"What don't you understand leave me alone" I yell

Lance jumps and wraps his arms around my tummy and pulls me back.

"Calm down kitten. Always so grumpy when you have been woken up against you will. Come on let's go back to bed" Lance says lifting me up

The blanket falls off my and you can see my panties under Lance's shirt.

"some things never change" Brett says

"Your just mad I'm not in your shirt this time" I snap at him

He chuckles and Lance tightens his grip on me and carries me back to bed. He places me down and covers me up and crawls in with me. I snuggle into his naked chest and sigh in content. He wraps his arms around me and i smile.

"Love you" I mumble in and out of sleep

"I love you too" He says kissing my forehead

With that I passed out for the night. When I woke up the next morning I was alone in bed. I sat up and threw the covers back and climbed out of bed and walked to the kitchen.
